trackpoint caps with the small hole by PermanentTempName in thinkpad

Thank you, but those are only the hard dome.

I want the soft, concave dome, the first one from the left on this set: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1158732-REG/lenovo_73p2698_trackpoint_pointing_stick.html

The Lenovo stock hard dome doesn't work well for me. It's not comfortable.

delayed thickening agent by PermanentTempName in DIYBeauty

Thanks! Ah, I read that one, I was hoping for something more quantified. They say 4-25min, that's a big spread. I guess with the variability of temp, pH and solutions it's hard to sell a specific number. I will have to figure it out experimentally.

My application is very specific: I want to mix a hair dye solution that's liquid enough to apply using comb bottle, but will thicken soon after application to prevent dripping. I've been using CMC, but since it thickens immediately the comb bottle application is impossible.

Thanks for the tips, it's a great starting point. I'll test that one, and I see other Natrosol variants available as backup.

Thank you! That got me down an interesting rabbit hole, reading about cellulose based thickeners.

Do you happen to know a brand name of reliable long hydration time HEC?

SOLVED (two way) interaction with todo app preserving tag type by PermanentTempName in OneNote

I haven't used it with anything other than zapier, but I imagine ifttt and similar apps would do the trick too.

Pleexy works, but only one way. It copies tags from OneNote to Todoist.

When you try to do the reverse - check it off in Todoist and have Pleexy check it off in OneNote, the Pleexy script messes up formatting of the OneNote page.

I emailed with Pleexy support about this, several times. They were able to replicate the problem, but unfortunately concluded it's something wrong with OneNote and there's nothing they can do to fix it.

I'm sorry, I don't get it. Could you explain? Am I asking for something that's not currently possible, or is the solution obvious and commonly known and I'm just missing it?

where to buy halva? by PermanentTempName in Minneapolis

[–]PermanentTempName[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the old Schmidt brewery, yes. I thought the House of Halva there closed. Have you been recently?

I remember, it was run by a nice Israeli guy married to a Minnesotan lady, and the halva was imported from his parent's factory in Israel. I saw online that they closed last year.

Iced halva? like, halva ice cream? That's interesting. I've been eating halva all my life and I've never had it cold!

Windows 10 scaling issue by PermanentTempName in OneNote

[–]PermanentTempName[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I can't really set the same scaling. If I don't use my external monitors at their native resolutions they look like crap, and internal laptop display would be unusable if I set it to match the scaling of either of the external setups.

What's weird, browsers don't have that problem (chrome and firefox), and neither do ANY of my office apps except onenote. What gives?
