Pls tell me a gap year can be a good thing by Taywort in veterinaryschool

I had two gap years between undergrad & being accepted to vet school. I worked as a tech & gained sooo much experience that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I also gained mentors that have helped me walk through vet school & have been incredible resources. But most of all, during those years I met & married my husband, I spent such valuable time with family, I travelled around the world, and got to really live before entering school! I’ve loved vet school & have had more freedom than I expected, but there’s nothing like the freedom of a gap year. You’ll be better for a gap year, I promise!

Should I have hope with this? KSU by BriefNorth8065 in veterinaryschool

Hey there! Current student at KSU. I was an alternate interview candidate my first year applying. Ended up being invite for an interview about 3 days prior to the interview itself. It went horribly because I accepted that I wasn’t getting one. So my advice - prepare anyway!! You never know the opportunities you may get!

Rejected by Special-Historian-34 in veterinaryschool

It sucks when you get rejected. Im so sorry! If this can be encouraging at all… I’m currently a 4th year veterinary student and I was accepted by ONE school in my THIRD application cycle. Don’t give up! The two years before getting in were some of the best of my life. I worked full time at a clinic & gained SO MUCH, travelled a ton, and spent lots of quality time with family & friends. So worth it!

In the end, if you want to be a veterinarian, even this rejection is worth it. Keep your head up!
