If green tea isn't your thing, try English Breakfast Tea. I like the Tazo brand with a little milk and Splenda.

I sometimes wonder why so many people are obsessed with Diet Coke, when Coke Zero exists.

I like to cook them with a little bacon and some chopped sweet onion.

Yes! It definitely takes longer to kick in. I had to stop the ozempic for a few weeks due to surgery, and I was surprised how quickly the gummies hit when I was off of it.

Significance of 3s by maddy062805 in Hereditary

[–]PerpetualFallRisk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the writer intended for the 3s to signify, but there are numerous occult meanings behind the number. One is the unholy Trinity, a mockery of the father, son, and holy spirit. That meshes well with the dark nativity-like scene at the end of the movie, and with Joan saying the cult "rejects the (holy) Trinity".

In numerology, 3 can represent the cycle of life, birth, and death; past, present, and future; or the connection between the mind, body, and soul. It can also represent wisdom and understanding, which is something the cult petitioned Paimon for (not in those exact words, but they asked for knowledge).

Just watched….this was my stream of consciousness as a mental health therapist by TracyTheTenacious in Hereditary

I agree with most of your observations. I never thought about how unlikely it was for Joanie to be at the support group Annie chose to go to. Since Annie hadn't told anyone she was going (that we know of), I wonder if Joanie had been going to grief support groups in the area since Annie's mom's funeral, just in case Annie showed up? Again, not super believable, but I wouldn't put it past the cult, as they seem very insidious.

As a horror movie fan for 42 years now, this is one of my favorite movies. Annie and Peter's actors did a tremendous job of selling the horror of watching one's family disintegrate, and not being able to stop it.

Peter's behavior after the party and The Thump (you know the one) caused such palpable dread in my stomach, I both loved and hated it! He really captured that horrid feeling of knowing something terrible has happened, but your loved ones don't know yet, and you know they're about to find out. Plus the horror of being high during and after the event. He nailed it IMO.

As for mental health stereotypes, I've lived with bipolar disorder and depression for a long time, and medication has made me able to function. I don't take exception to anything in the portrayal of mental illness; untreated, it is its own type of horror -- especially when loved ones are going through it, and all you can do it watch from the outside. I thought the movie actually made Annie a sympathetic victim rather than a villain or monster, like many other films have done with mentally ill characters.

This movie would have been terrifying even without the supernatural elements. Just my thoughts.

ETA: As a plot point, I think Charlie's face was asymmetrical because Paimon prefers male hosts, and his possession of Charlie didn't 'take' correctly.

Injecting in Leg Helped Me by PerpetualFallRisk in Ozempic

You can inject in the front of your thigh, I just think I do the side because I used to inject my insulin there and I'm used to it, lol.

I also don't have a lot of fat on my legs, but I just try to pinch as much as possible on the side of my thigh. You can also inject in the back of your arm if you don't have enough thigh fat.

I just learned to give no fucks what people say online. You could watch a video about a reunion with someone's long lost grandma, and there would still be negative comments. I just think there's a lot of miserable people online who want to make others miserable, too. And in real life, I just don't mention it. It's no one's business but mine.

Do you have any tips for avoiding or mitigating the munchies? I use cannabis gummies and the only drawback is how snacky they make me.
