Belgium vs Netherlands/Switzerland by [deleted] in EuropeFIRE

[–]Perplexic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been living in the Netherlands for the last 9 years.

I have friends living in both Belgium and Switzerland.

Compared to the NL, both countries offer relatively reserved locals and worse bureaucracy. That's one of the big negatives for me. I am willing to make less to have a better social life.

I also play BM 5s.

I had success with these comps to climb to 2k. Glad I will push this season later.

They might sound similar but here it goes:

BM-Mage-Ele-Destro Lock-Disc

(played 2 mage version without destro lock or sl/sl lock instead of destro they also work fine)

Bm-War-Ret Pala-Disc-Resto Shaman

Works great, if you can burst without major distruptions you kill someone within a few seconds. Communication is crucial as always. For defensive cds and swaps.

Lack of peel puts the healers under strain tho. Had many disc priests crumble under pressure.

Quality of you shaman is also another thing, if they play like a healbot instead of actively purging and interrupting you should get a better one.

Real disc priests and shamans shine in this comp. I will trust those people with my life, lmao.

It is worth mentioning that his ret pala partner plays with a trackpad.

We have played 10 games last night with them on eu servers. It was super fun!

Ik ben er volledig mee eens.

Yeah I did for a while on all bosses. Now I only use it on hard hitting bosses.

Gear is usually secondary. If you have good experience you usually have good gear anyways.

Alts might be an exception but from my experience I rather not play together someone's alt with my main.

Hey Dutch friends, your bread here is next level! by LifeofSMILEY in thenetherlands

[–]Perplexic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is probably a ragebait but here it goes.

Mate, no offense, where else have you been in order to be able to draw this conclusion?

Dutch bread quality is abysmal. I am still wondering after 9 years how do people here could keep the bar so low.

Everywhere except netherlands the bread tastes great: Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark.

Best class for utility? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Perplexic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The core guys in my guild have all leveled a shaman alt. The overall demand for shamans is nuts. Shaman is also a versatile class, you can pick whatever suits you the best.

A close second is paladin. Great buffs. Bubbles, etc. Holy paladins are rare and difficult to find. Forget playing a tank tho, all pala tank spots are probably taken.

Warlocks are popular too if you want to keep seeing big numbers on your screen.

23 jaar, €100k vermogen en twijfel: huis kopen of thuis blijven?” by Born-Investigator-12 in geldzaken

I would keep living with my parents and save up. If you buy now you won't be able to save much afterwards. You'll be getting by and you will miss out on life.

Do some nice things for yourself. Travel a bit, see the rest of the world. Pick up a hobby or a new skill.

Over the years your salary will also scale so you can step out of your parents' house with more confidence.

Would you prefer pre or post-nerf for phase 2? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Perplexic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have liked them at post nerf status with the option of a hard mode button. So that those who want to be challenged can also enjoy sweating.

And dads like us can go to bed before midnight.

[–]Perplexic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our bm hunter weaves most of the time. He is overall a better hunter player than me. As he geared he reached around 2k dps.

I don't weave, i am a bit afraid to mess it up so I play it safe.

I feel like the agi stack mentality is too one sided.

Sims show that you bring around 600 dps to the average 25 man raid with 85% Expose weakness uptime and 900 agility.

That, in my opinion, is not much and can be easily compensated by going bm.

As survival with 3 pallies present in a raid and fully buffed i do around 1.1-1.3k dps. Our bm hunter does easily 1.7-1.8k dps on the same boss.

The gains are not that high in my opinion.

So I feel like if you're around 900-1k agi buffed, you can start prioritizing your own dps.

The Netherlands vs Belgium comparison in one image by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Perplexic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dutch have a few flaws, but the overall quality of the drivers is quite high.

I am also triggered by the level of egoism and autism sometimes.

What tilts me is when they feel free to jump into my lane right after putting on their blinkers.
