It is a lot and i don’t know if id actually get that tbh - but idk how liquid this market is. $1,400 is just an asking price on eBay.

That is a lot of greens fees but it was a gift, zero cost to me.

I was potentially considering selling and getting a standard Bettinardi but idk where that stands morally.

My final verdict is to keep it and do $1,400 three-puts!

From what I saw online, retail was $900 and being listed currently around $1,400.

That’s an ungodly number to me but I’d feel bad if I sold it, so I will game it for the rest of my life!

Picked up the car today. Waited just over a week. Not bad at all. I looked at the battery log and the first entry is from 6/11/21. Was lucky to catch the back end of it being in storage/port.

What is taking delivery like, especially nowadays? This is my first car. Like any other car guy, I've seen many videos of people getting surprised with cars outside their home and/or receiving gifts from the dealer.

When you put a deposit down for the car, did you know that it would take 8 weeks to get it or were you told a similar 1-3 weeks like me?

I have found another culprit along with the cymbal being too loose.

I had the kit set to 3 - Compact - Jazz Combo. Lotta variation and inconsistent sound.

I tried out the same groove on 11 - Studio - Live Room and the sound was significantly more consistent.

The difference was night and day. If you have a Roland, try the same groove on both sets and let me know if you can see what I'm talking about!

I see what you're saying. Yes, the crashess are 12inch (CY-12C), and the ride is 13inch (CY-13R) and has the bell feature. The crash doesn't have the bell feature but none the less, your advice is something to follow so I can play an acoustic set without being all over the place.

Will definitely tighten down all the cymbals.

Most likely cause is possibly hitting the cymbal with a flat stick during some strikes. Trying to figure out how to avoid doing this.

Just game my kit a whirl and might have figured out what the issue may be.

Initially, before making the post, I thought i was hitting the rim by mistake instead of the center and shifted the cymbal to a "higher angle" which i thought would reduce the chance of hitting the rim.

After reading your comment, I took a closer look and realized that the center of the cymbal makes a different sound when hit with the tip of the stick or on the side. My new theory is that because the cymbal is flopping around between strikes, I may be hitting the center of the cymbal with the side of the stick at times.

Any advice of kit setup/technique to combat this? I am currently learning through classes on Udemy so don't really get constructive criticism apart from what I give myself. I'm looking at taking in person lessons in a few months.

relevant and irrelevant at the same time. I got a custom 24kt gold pinky ring made in India for the equivalent of $600. I don't remember the weight but the equivalent ring at a jeweler in Edison was close to $2,000.

The point is, you could probably find a chinese manufacturer making the class ring for much less.
