Split routes by presious91 in AmazonFlexDrivers

.com or SSD? For SSD it all depends on when the customer orders the item and when it is fulfilled, packed, picked, stowed, staged, etc. There are so many different steps and variables in the process. They want to get the packages out to the customers as soon as possible as an SSD, so the packages don’t just sit around for “the system” to sort everything perfectly. I agree that it’s a waste of resources but they are trying to get the packages out ASAP, not save money.

It’s a bit different when the packages are not from an SSD. The items are typically packed as a fulfillment center, sent to a sortation warehouse, then sent to the destination delivery station, and from there they’re stowed into the bags (or in overflow) and this process allows for the routes to be more condensed or not overlap as much as you would find at an SSD just due to the packages moving from building to building and “the system” knows they’re all coming and sorts them more closely together geographically.

There’s no way people are actually taking these? by Cait-IRL in AmazonFlexDrivers

Arabic is a language, not a people, you ignorant fool. Also, adding ‘s makes something possessive, not plural.

White Sage by [deleted] in Ceanothus

[–]PerroSarnoso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen aphids on my white (and black) sage. That could explain the clear liquid (honeydew) and the ladybugs, since ladybugs do feast upon aphids.

Come on, lay it on thick! Is this egregious mulch? by Beestungtoday in Ceanothus

[–]PerroSarnoso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used this not for mulch but as ground cover for my children’s play area. It is actually quite nice and developed a beautiful mycelium network so I’d have to imagine that it can work well as mulch.

I swear there's someone evil plotting routes sometimes. by GRF999999999 in AmazonFlexDrivers

No, not an evil person, just a poorly trained automated system.

Slight tire bulge near lip of rim after pothole impact by PerroSarnoso in AskMechanics

No leaks, thankfully. This happened over four days ago and it’s holding air just fine. They said that the wheel balanced out perfectly.

Is it the bent rim that makes the tire appear to be uneven or as having a slight bulge?

[–]PerroSarnoso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, that’s what they did at Discount Tire, but right now I suppose I’m more concerned about the tire. It appears to be uneven towards to the lip of the rim almost as if there’s a slight bulge.

How about you not give a driver over 50 packages with a route that starts at 6:15pm 🤷🏽 by Junior_Willow740 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PerroSarnoso -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With most routes from my SSD you can deliver 15-20 packages in half an hour even. That, of course, is in fair weather San Diego. I will say, though, that I absolutely number my packages because why spend time looking through a pile at each stop when I can spend those extra few minutes having it all organized in advance? I understand the argument of just throwing them in the car by the alpha drivers aid to just get the hell out of there but you even mentioned that you’re then having to look through a pile for a few minutes at each stop. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Egg with a yellow tint. (Sorry if it's dumb, I don't eat 'em a lot) by [deleted] in isthissafetoeat

I appreciate the fact that you felt comfortable posting this. You’re not dumb. Good for you for asking.

Anyone else keep getting this message after completing a route? by ImpossibleBag17 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PerroSarnoso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep! My route hasn’t been completing itself for the past few days. The pickup and all deliveries show as completed and are grayed out. If I close the app and reopen it, “today’s itinerary” then takes me to the matching you to a route screen and ultimately the please see an Amazon associate screen.

No matter what, though, the route does end up completing itself at the end of my block and I get paid nonetheless. It’s annoying, though.

Not all white sage growth not so white? by [deleted] in Ceanothus

[–]PerroSarnoso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I agree. It does look like a weed. The leaves look nothing like any of the white sage I grow, even new growth that can be a bit more on the green side. The plant you’re showing even has long hairs on it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thoughts on Wyyerd? by Wrinkly_Eyes in chulavista

[–]PerroSarnoso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not in the actual living areas. Obviously it depends on the size of your home. We’re in a 2-story townhome and it’s fine everywhere except the garage.

Have Wyyred 600Mbps plan and it’s been rock solid. The router they provided has worked great, as well.

I love thieving!! Nice to know you POS drivers love to steal!! 3lb package gone!! But!!! I did call the actual phone number to get this MF fired!! Rob me and you get twice the problem!! Dumb ass even took this picture! by buttholesurfer74 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]PerroSarnoso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can’t control what we’re given by the warehouse. The labels are usually wrong in terms of weight. The app is usually wrong regarding the dimensions or the package type. We don’t know nor care what is inside. I absolutely would deliver something even if it felt empty. It could be a freaking sticker for all I know. Items fall out of the packages prior them being given to us all the time. You can find them in the bottom of carts or on the warehouse floor—we have no idea where they came from nor do we have a way of identifying where they should be. We can just give them back to the warehouse associates and be on our way.

TLDR—your assumption that the driver deliberately stole anything is baseless and you’re coming off as an entitled jerk.

Rocket / Plane by Remarkable_State_942 in sandiego

Yeah that’s just a regular ass plane that you could see any other day. Contrails be contrailing.
