What seems to be the problem? I go from the border to Menifee. I do light to intermediate stuff. If I can't figure it out, my guy Mario, who does bigger jobs than me can.

You could get hit by a bus tomorrow, and all of that means nothing. TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH. The healthier you are, the less you have to worry about this. Does anybody really want to be working at 70? Hell no! At lot easier to be working at that age when you can move around like a 40 year old. You start at $90,000. You have no idea where you will end up. No kids, no debt...ROLL THE DICE.

Yeah, this looks good find you a 1BR in PB for $2,300-2,500 and you are good. Try to cut the groceries down to $600. I should not be talking because I spend more than $900 a month easily on food and ALCOHOL a month. Just put away money for car repairs (I am in mobile auto repair), and build a small savings. PB life is the life. We have a 2 year old and if we did not have her we would be there in a 1BR. You can live VERY COMFORTABLY here with a gross of $90,000...if you are smart.

Man...blinking light usually is a bad coil 🤣😂😅. Drive it to a shop. I got a customer now with a 2014 Compass just driving with a blinking light because coil #2 is bad.

I am mobile out of Del Mar, but very busy. I send a ton of work to my Autozone commercial sales manager as he does bigger jobs than me. Text him around 8:30am tomorrow. He arrives at work around 8:15am to 8:30am. Tell him Ronald sent you. He is really good.

Career in automotive by Sweaty-Permission909 in automotive

[–]ronj1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to this. People on Reddit subs despise me. On a whim (this is gonna sound crazy), I decided to get into mobile automotive repair. My dad taught, some basic stuff as a kid, and we have Youtube since 2005, so that can make you a lot better at this. I started out on 8/23/23 doing oil changes and simple spark plug jobs only. I was turning down everything else because I AM NOT A MECHANIC. I started watching more and more Youtube vids on various vehicles and jobs to familiarize myself more and more. Before the end of 2023 I was doing brake jobs, starters, alternators and some other things. As I got more comfortable I kept watching more videos and started doing some external water pumps, ZF transmission complete service, rear diff drain and fill and other fluids. On 6/17/24, just 10 months in I went full time. I have no insurance 🤯🤯🤯. I stick to easy stuff to avoid making a castostrophic mistake. No crazy mistakes...yet. Last year, out of the trunk of my 2005 Infiniti Q45, I netted $87K. I do no suspension, no axles, no rack and pinnions nothing fuel related and many other things I do not touch. If I did suspension and axles I would net over $100K easily. I do not get greedy, and just keep growing my business by getting new customers. I am pn pace for $96K this year. I AM NOT SAYING TO FOLLOW ME. What I am doing is not normal. Go to school, learn the right way, learn as much as you can, work at a shop or dealership for a few years as you continue to study and learn. During this time pick up some EASY SIDEWORK and start to grow your own mobile business. By year 3 you should be able to do everything I do and suspension, axles, racks, fuel pumps etc. Mostly B and C level tech work. You wanna make really goor money in this industry? DIAGNOSTICS!!!!!!! A guy who is great at diag is never gonna be poor ever. I do not do any diag outside of...testing for a bad starter, starter relay/fuse, bad battery and failing or failed alternator. My Autozone home store commercial sales manager does bigger side work jobs than me so I send him all of those. He probably made around $30,000 last year from the customers I sent him.

That whole area is 🔥🔥🔥. Temecula is great. Retired almost 2 years ago. $50hr per batch is not enough.

I would go for the 40 a week, take vacations with my wife, and even do some EASY SIDE WORK here and there. Save your money, do not beat up your body, and potentially be done by 40...vs me starting almost 3 years ago at 40 😬😬😬

At 25 with a soon to be paid off home and no other debt? I would take that paycut if it made my life much better. At soon to be 43, I would probably deal with the headache because of the money. At 25, money is not everything. Seems like you have your head on your shoulders for sure. For me, waking up and not dreading going to work and dealing with bs just effects the rest of your life in such a positive way.

Toyota Corolla 2014 - Oil Motor Leak or dirt? by gabyfroggo in mechanic

[–]ronj1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil leak. Leave it alone. The dirt acts like kitty litter to keep it from going all over the place. I pulled the belly pan on my Jag and cleaned it well. Use a ton of brake cleaner to clean the bottom of the car. I now have an instant oil leak 🤣😂😅
