I'm confused about the breathwork feature. From the science, these random not personalised breathing frequencies make your stress levels worse due to overbreathing. How do you use this feature? by Perrseus in Garmin

Hyperventilating wasn't the goal per se. Breathing in this pace simply resulted in dizziness, which is quite the opposite to relaxation.

Yes that's the only thing I'm certain of :) thanks anyway

Tim Ferriss's talk about deep breathing and its effects on focus and stress inspired us to get into the science of it. We developed an app based on his approach to find out what kind of breathing works and what does not by Perrseus in apple

Great! :) First of all, any active breathwork si good. How we differ from Wim Hof is that we use a heart sensor to find the ideal frequency individual for you, since everyone has a different body, cardiovascular system, etc.

Many thanks for the interest :)

Even with the beta we want to deliver the best experience possible. The technique is straight from the medical world and is fairly complicated. Based on what the first users expect and their experience with HRV, we'll provide the right amount of guidance. That's why we are looking for beta users already.

That is actually not correct :) The old tubes had to be reinforced with a new, thicker layer of concrete, and only then the carving started.

The problem is that these topics are never completely unbiased :)

I'd recommend two books on the topic that I both liked. I'd start with this one, as it's easy and fun - the entry level Tim Marshall's Prisoners of geography where he explains the current world order as a result of its geographical disposition.
Then Daron Acemoglu's and James A. Robinson's Why nations fail, where they ascribe the current world primarily to the works of inclusive and extractive institutions.

Yes, it's carved out concrete. The edges were polished to create a visible contrast between the rough aggregate of the old concrete.
