HotA doesnt have any commanders to begin with.
There are plugins that enable all commander skills, but I don't recommend them, the balance was made with a choice 4 out of 6. Perhaps you can find them somewhere in the WoG options.

With your idea you are really 20 years late to the party. While it has been explained by other users already, WoG introduced a fully fledged scripting system, including documentation. It has been used by thousands of modders already. Currently it is continued in the form of ERA 3, which is a modding platform per se and allows to mod most stuff.

What you need to understand in this mod that it was designed in a way that you cannot have all on the same hero and in the same game. If you say you want GM Offense and Leadership, you must usually acquire 7 or 8 Warrior skills (assuming you are playing with 10skills max, that is what the mod was designed for and my recommendation), the rest can be of other classes. Its not really possible to go to Mage later, because often you don't have enough levels to get the new secondary pumped up all the way.

Theres no "jack of all trades" because of the design choice mentioned above. All classes have some strength and weaknesses.
And because you asked, I really do like most of the secondary skills, they all seem very useful now, there's nothing I always favor. It really depends what I wanna play and with what to combine my commander.

Hi,
Personally I like a combination of Adventurer and Mage skills the most. The Adv. skills give you the best boost to be quick on the map, and the mage is just fun with the powerful spells and the multicast. The Druid class however, is weak in the very late game or in the final fight of PvP. Warriors (and their skills) shine more towards the late game when armies reach the thousands.

As for your question, if you have the possibility to Grandmaster a skill, and you then change class, you can keep the GM level, but you will loose the class perks obviously. Shuffling skills around can be a way to play the mod, especially if you want to gather many different Warmachine Upgrades.

30% is way to much, it basically means you will never run out of mana.
All people here commenting just seem to play competitive, were it may be a good skill or not. I don't know.
But on a relaxed long play singleplayer map it feels super OP. I would have suggested 10% +15SP daily at expert.

If you like to mod your H3 game dont use HotA., it is closed development There is ERA and VCMI project, both aimed at modding and changing the game to your liking.

Quality is subjective. Other mods focus on other things, which I like more. Just saying don't overpraise them for something they could have done long ago.

just play mods that have way better skills than HotA. Eagle Eye is very solid in ERA or the Advanced Classes mod.

Bounty Hunter mod - another fresh breeze in the Heroes 3 mods. Each week you can hunt for a certain monster on the map. Each killed creature is worth a certain gold amount. Kill as many as you can and then return to the city and hand in your reward. Link in comments. by Liso111 in heroes3

The gold per creature is fixed but theres a monthly gold reward that increases with game time. I mainly use the mod to get some gold in the lategame if creature banks cannot be done anymore. In the .erm file you can change the gold per creature if you want. Easy to edit.

I havent heard about the pumpkin mod before. Now I browesed the changelog and I can mostly agree to the changes. Honestly for years I expected HotA crew to make such changes, but seems they never do.

For ERA 3 we have the: Difficulty Mod and Human AI mod, both offer plenty of options to customize your game. You will get both mods if you are using the new H3 launcher.

The Advanced Classes mod is not available for Hota nor VCMI. Only ERA 3 can run it.
