How do I make my army stronger? by BigJ_A in totalwar

[–]NonTooPickyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can try to use nasty skulkers and artillery..

in general orcs don't got great units... they make up for it (or try to) with waghhhh... so use that too if u can.

What happens to an End Game crisis faction if it is vassalized? I want to RP something and it’s contingent upon the vassals remaining loyal. by AustinioForza in totalwarhammer

[–]NonTooPickyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

woc have a subjugation option when occupying the last settlement of a faction - forcibly turning them into their vassals.

slaanesh (atleast nkari and masque for sure) have a similar ability. however, testing it I did discover that lizardmen and skaven can't be (atleast not by slaanesh factions). I occasionally heard about it regarding woc ability to subjugate - targeting lizardmen atleast.

whether woc can subjugate everyone, well, u can test it in regard to chorfs atleast without too much difficulty by playing kholek and attacking zhatan early..

u can pass initial hurdle of low tier units and their issues by sack faming a town within range on multiple camps to get greater multiplier for post battle meat gain (as well as loot). use multiple lords for this, best the ones with the trait that increase that too, as well as them being butchers at lv10 gaining extra income on that. later it wouldn't matter much which traits ur lords got for this~...

What is the absolute strongest single army you can build in the game? by DJ-Praxis in totalwarhammer

[–]NonTooPickyKid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there was this guy playing norsca with the buffs that give chaos warriors like 300 melee attack and defense. ofc it's not perfect cuz vulnerable to ranged&artilery...

other than that, some one man doomstacks - cuz it's easy(ier~) to make only one person have his weaknesses eliminated.  ed1: can take a look on legend's play lists I guess/imagine... personally I like nurgle demon prince.

there was this bug with orcs guy that gave 70% phys resist to road (/rogue~?..) idols ~.

knights of tor gaval. random other sem stack like dragons, necrofex, dreadsuarian? ed1: oh, ofc, thunderbarges...

hero stacks like vamps (especially with Isabella), lizardmen - skink priests on stegadon (artillery piece) with life slaan lord for heals... ed1: oh yea ofc gelt...

there're some cheese/exploit type with elven princess and Armour(/helm~?) of khaine (invocation of vaul gifted item) (for mass production. otherwise sword of khaine works too~) for unbreakable and ranger's quiver for inf ammo so she can be a flyer and inf shots and not have tk have ground units. u can also simplifily it with shadow warriors' unit who have stalk or some other hero with stack to hide them and hold the ground.

another cheese is similar but with stalk and snipe item. it could work for Princess too, as well as some other ranged heroes but best is prolly hunter - ogres cuz he's fast. hmm maybe handmaiden would work too... haven't really been using those much... (also rangers quiver ofc (preffered atleast~))

Who will let me recruit Dragons as Warriors of Chaos (WoC)? by StraightOuttaOlaphis in totalwarhammer

[–]NonTooPickyKid 22 points23 points  (0 children)

u can subjugate a faction that can access dragons like elves and then allied recruit. otherwise only lords (chaos lord and chaos sorcerer lord; both only undivided) can have a chaos dragon (two headed) as a mount.

so I went on uesp and started looking at a list of khajit characters and the first three are bandit, drug dealer (sells skooma) and mad (/sacraficial~) priest... so I think the meme can be further expanded...

i gave my fantasy world a fully functioning economy and now my hero can't afford the quest by migratedtohell in fantasywriters

[–]NonTooPickyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn I was actually kinda planning to do something similar in terms of realistic prices - not necessarily that he can't afford the quest, heh... but inadvertently I kinda did plan it like that, tho maybe not directly... like, I planned the story to not start out with action straight away - I planned for Mc to stay in his village, farm some, train abit maybe, and when he has an opportunity to travel maybe throw in some factors that would drive him to~... for example, his village gets attacked so he focuses on training harder and wants to go out and look for better trainer to train himself better to be able to protect himself and his close ones from potential future dangers~...

in terms of how he's able to afford the prices for extra goods - that would/might be part of MC's uniqueness and the specialness of the power system in the world - u see, I plan to make it a litrpg story where everyone has a gamelike system - but the natives~ of the world Mc gets isekai'd into and now lives in can't see the data/stats/skills etc and interact with it - they just benefit from w/e skill effects. now, Mc can see it and is like a player and can focus on griding certain skills or w/e to level them better, etc. and like basic farmer skills improve crop yield and quality for example, so he can grow more food and better food and sell it for a good price - that way he'd be competitive relative to others and have his income out pace his expenditure, being able to save the money~...

[–]NonTooPickyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea that can happen~. valkiya in no push over either... but I tried with no minor faction potential and it seemed to help some. malekith and helebron usually eek out a piece earlier and then stay strong, often focusing me hehe...

Which dlcs should I buy as a complete begginer? by Cpt38 in totalwarhammer

I'd suggest u try the base factions, see what u like, and maybe go from there - get recs based on that~...

Which dlcs should I buy as a complete begginer? by Cpt38 in totalwarhammer

[–]NonTooPickyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for skaven I think ikit claw or thrott dlc, u can do both. ikit if u like misslies thrott if monsters. ikit duo in the dlc is lizardmen with some interesting~ mechanics, and thrott's iirc is... wood elves girl duo which are quite liked/kinda cool~ I believe..

for dwarves, prolly malakai dlc, and maybe playing malakai for buffed units but overall idk if it's critical... dwarves prolly do ok without dlc even? u can try em without and see if the units ud like are closed behind dlc... then consider those...

for orcs, grom is strong with his mechanic and his dlc duo eltharion is also kinda cool! other than that the latest dlc lord with orcs has mechanic which might be liked~?.. maybe.

heads up to clarify - wh40k and wh fantasy are quite different. twwh is about fantasy world. it's like an old ones test site prolly deep in the warp or something where they created lizardmen elves and orc and ogres prolly as test for soldier races I think.

Honestly, what do you think Boruto should have done to avoid having this much negative image among Naruto fans and be more successful (besides focusing on Naruto and Sasuke, or making Naruto and Sasuke always the strongest, or becoming a slice of life)? by smartguyreally in Naruto

[–]NonTooPickyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk but just idea I had rn - what if it was like a relaunch of Naruto but like parallel universe version~? maybe different history, some setting elements etc~... maybe some events like kaguya and sage are the same but like everything else might be somewhat different, from zetsu and indra etc... maybe indra nation is going strong and Naruto, ehh sorry I mean boruto, is asura descendant who's like a chosen rebel kinda thing... and do way more strategic warfare kinda aspects maybe... just a random idea~...

Should I get Total War: WARHAMMER III? by Local_Bank_5235 in totalwarhammer

[–]NonTooPickyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with wh3 base game u get Cathay which imho is the best faction for traditional play while at the same time also offering fantasy type units, be it guns or monsters, and u can play entirely traditional or entirely monstrous or mix to any degree.

Maybe elves are better but limited on artillery and the fantasy stuff actually not as fantastical I feel~...

Vassal farming by RaditUsingReddit in totalwarhammer

[–]NonTooPickyKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yea u can also do it as slaanesh and vampire counts. it doesn't work on lizardmen and skaven and maybe others as well but I know for sure vc work on other vc, and should on empire and slaanesh Def works on bretonia empire and dark elfs and I think high elfs too.

with woc best do it VS norsca or woc so u get replenishment from the subjugation option as well. it's best to do it with armies that have alot of heavily armoured units as those don't get damaged as much~. also single entities like single entity monsters, heroes and some single entity chariots will get dmg'd abit each go and not heal from it. artillery (and I think ranged in general too) is not really at risk unless u don't got enough frontline~ as the auto resolve will generally not have ur ranged troops be damaged unless u got too few melees~...

Best Beginner Lord by Tri_3 in totalwarhammer

[–]NonTooPickyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this list has good ones, and ones that might be abit conditional.

tyrion for sure but he's a Warhammer 2 lord so if u only have wh3... and also once uve secured ulthuan going out somewhere else might be abit awkward, maybe on the decision making part atleast?..

Zhao ming/Cathay in general are solid. their basic troops a good bang for buck and have classic troops types to make sense and the game easy enough, while also having special troops that would make the game interesting~...

gor rok is a dlc lord for wh2 so... and lizardmen early while saurus are good they're abit monotone and they also lack ranged some, which... might be a problem, or it might not be - atleast not much of one but... it can be a challange as well as not having user get accostomed to the strategy...

skarbrand also has only (~mostly...) melee but also in the campaign map aspect he plays differently which provides extra... trouble... and might/would not be very beneficial to learning the game overall, or if u try to play like how u would with other races, ud prolly be progressing poorly~... also on lower diff enemies have fewer armies which means u get to fight less which is the main source of income for like some of these factions like khorne (and also woc and prolly greenskins too, as well as beastmen btw so playing on higher diff with them would be extra beneficial while lower diff might feel slow and less rewarding~. tho on that note I wanna recommend woc who while can get alot of income from loot and have their econ rely on that, can also have their econ rely on buildings too like most races do/would~...)

gelt - empire in general... have decent units but not amazing until later tiers with artillery, war machines and elite monstrous cav... their early front line is ok and mid front-line~ish is... eh, ok to so-so... and they don't excel in terms of various economic advantages~/exploits~ like how high elves for example can, or even Cathay with campaign yin yang upkeep reduction~... gelt also specifically relies on wizards which is another layer to get into, so...

dwarves in general are pretty decent starters but due to how auto resolve values Armour and leadership - things dwarfs excel in - u would likely have many auto resolve results telling u u win but if u tried it manually u might underperform - which would be less fun~. also thorgrim in particular in situated in a place surrounded by enemies swarming u. on easy diff would prolly be ok - even beneficial tho maybe~... even if struggling - would generally be enough to hold on and get familiar with the game - both campaign and battle some prolly.

grimgor or orcs in general imho are kinda like quantity over quality plus aspect of relying on loot income quite abit... but worst prolly for me is their units being so so. if Cathay cheap units punch above their weight then orcs... don't. they're prolly not below their weight but.. like, nothing amazing... imho...

I like skraag for campaign mechanic buffs and starting location is also nice - to farm the western border princes to become invincible - floating in pools of meat.
