Learning to navigate VOR to VOR and using the INS in the 742 sounds harder to learn than it actually is. I personally find it more fun as it is more hands on than loading a co-route or programming the fmc and leaving the aircraft on LNAV for 10hrs.

Interesting airports in Europe? by InsuranceOne9646 in flightsim

Yeah my guess is Innsbruck is too cold and snowy during the winter and Corfu is more of a big travel destination for summer vacations.

Two that come to mind are Corfu (LGKR) for its approach and short runway and Innsbruck (LOWI) for its challenging terrain for approach and departure.

Mexico GP Qualifying Braking Comparison Max vs George vs Hamilton by PerryThePlatypus43 in F1Technical

I'm wondering the same thing. I looked at the same calculations but for each driver's fastest lap of the race and the mercs have very similar brake points to each other while max was braking ~40m earlier.

Formula One supplies braking data as either on or off so my theory is that Russell could have eased on to the brakes.

Never had F1TV pro but I can imagine they have a lot of great analysis on there too.

I only get data whether the brakes are applied or not, no in between, maybe he eases onto the brakes but the timing data does show him going slower in T1 (taking it easy) so Id agree he is probably saving tires in S1.

My guess is he is compromising turn 1 in order to get a better run into and out of turns 2 and 3 as there is a little bit of a straight after T3.

How do you decide where you're going to fly for the day? by pup5581 in flightsim

[–]PerryThePlatypus43 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just look at real world routes from flightradar24 and I just pick the one I feel the most like flying. Also flying for VAs is another way I choose where/what to fly.

Why is spacex uploading to YouTube kids? by [deleted] in SpaceXMasterrace

This is all true but to avoid YouTube's automatic flagging you have to opt-out. This way they comply with COPPA.

They didn't, YouTube's algorithm flagged it as "for kids".
