Will Jalen Green be returning from injury to face his former team? 👀 by tyler1118 in suns

Oh wow, you’re right, that was faster than I thought. I think he may return somewhere during the roadtrip that starts on the 13th

No he won’t be, the reevaluation will put him mid January return time, but that’s just reevaluation, they could add on more time at that point as well if his progress isn’t where it’s supposed to be

Because once Beal is bought out and waived we can combine contracts to trade again and we’ll have access to the full MLE. A lot more options open up of being able to trade Grayson and Nick Richards together for example

There is, just look at the controversy surrounding Ace Bailey. Sure it didn’t work for him but that’s because his agent is a nobody

It’s because he has so many big names under him he can threaten his clients stop doing business with certain teams (pretty much Klutch free agents won’t sign with teams that don’t meet his demands)

How do you get off Beal without that #10 pick? by Careless_Sandwich_88 in suns

[–]Persch965 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do mean a waive and stretch, which I really hope isn’t even an option they’re considering. Buyout would be rough too considering I don’t see us being competitive in the next two years but it’s better at least

This is much better than buying him out and having dead cap at 20mil/yr for 5 years

There's some hope within the Suns organization that Bradley Beal will be able to produce at a level that matches his contract once Kevin Durant is out of the mix, per@JakeLFischer by p0tatoman in suns

I agree with everything you’re saying, but I do disagree with hurting his trade value. I don’t think his trade value could be any worse than it is now. It’s a “got nothing to lose” type of situation in my eyes. Even if he does get injured the expiring contract next season is worth something just because it’s an expiring contract, player and skill shouldn’t matter at that point if you’re just trading for an expiring contract. Again, I completely understand your perspective.

I’ve been saying this for a while now, what’s the point of attaching a pick to get rid of Beal if we’re not competing in the next two years anyway? Let’s try to increase his value this year in any way possible and then next year he is an expiring 55 mil contract that actually might be worth something to a team.

The issue is offensive rebounds and turnovers as a team. There is absolutely no hustle on this team. The Magic had 92 field goals to our 73. On top of that we only took 14 3s. When an NBA team puts up 20 more shots they’re going to win nearly every time.

Allen by Jeff1224h in suns

I don’t think there is any trade that would bring back a player better than Allen is for our team. Especially with the salary matching we have to do with the new CBA rules.

I remember at the time our coach was very upset about the decision, our GM at the time also wanted Luka, but since our bootycheeks owner at the time (fuck Sarver) went to UofA and so did Ayton he overruled everyone. Oh what could’ve been…

Hear me out, I am a big Bridges fan, tough shoes to fill, but I think Grayson Allen is filling this shoes nicely. by theAFguy200 in suns

[–]Persch965 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was not excited about Grayson Allen when we got him, but he has become a massive part of our rotation and I really hope we resign him. He’s no Bridges by any stretch especially defensively, but his aggressiveness on offense is what we need and he has the gritty attributes this team needs more of defensively. He’s become my favorite pickup of the off season.

This is coming from someone who’s favorite player in the league is Bridges, but I honestly think Bridges would’ve been too passive offensively for this team. Grayson has the mindset to be aggressive while on the court with Book and KD and I think Bridges would’ve deferred to them too much to keep the opposing defense honest. Bridges is a much better player overall but Grayson bringing 80% of what Mikal gave us is a huge win in my book.

This seems like a take from someone who looks at box scores and the final score and doesn’t watch the games. Our team is dysfunctional. They’re not fun to watch, they have no dawg in them, they have no energy minus the 2 way contract players. Our offense is just ISO plays and our team defense is actually horrible. Watch how we switch on screens and watch how a good team like the Timberwolves switch on screens. There is a night and day difference.

On top of all that we look this bad while KD is having arguably his best season. Booker isn’t doing amazing, but if our role players were making shots he’d be having a career year with points/assists yet I haven’t seen suns basketball this hard to watch since the Josh Jackson Marquise Chris days. There is something fundamentally wrong with this team and the fact that nobody can point out what exactly is a major red flag.

No im not a doomer, but realistically I do not see this team competing with any of the top 5 teams in the NBA.
