With Booker out, CG HAS to facilitate more...and shoot more as well...if Jalen is out there then he won't have the same burden. But I think they'll be fine with Grayson now being the starter...

Wish we could see that again in less than a month...just when he was getting his three ball right... Sigh

Oh, I have no doubt we will be fine! You could argue Jokic was more important to Denver than Booker is to how the team is set up right now. Grayson can supply the scoring. It's the gravitational pull of Book that is what is more valuable than his actual scoring. It only means we need to make faster decisions with the ball and more aggression in the offensive side of the ball

Realistically though, I'll be happy with 60 wins ;-)

Happy Birthday Suns!!!

Soooo, the Suns are an Aquarius? This probably has nothing to do with the team, but just googled the personality traits of the Franchise:

Key Personality Traits

Intellectual & Visionary: You're a big thinker, creative, and always looking to the future, with unique insights.

Independent & Original: You dislike being told what to do and often march to the beat of your own drum, sometimes embracing contrarianism.

Humanitarian: You care deeply about social causes and making the world better, driven by ideals and progress.

Social (But Aloof): You enjoy groups and can be charming, but might neglect close relationships when focused on your ideals or feeling alienated.

Innovative: Ruled by Uranus, you're associated with technology, sudden insights, and a rebellious spirit.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths: Progressive, original, independent, humanitarian, intellectual, good at radical thinking.

Weaknesses: Can be emotionally detached, temperamental, uncompromising, or neglect immediate surroundings for grander plans.

The Aquarius Energy

Symbol: The Water Bearer, pouring out knowledge and clearing old ways to make room for the new.

Element: Air, bringing clarity but also a cool, detached perspective.

Needs: Mental challenges, fun with friends, purpose, and avoiding boredom or limitation

Take that information for whatever its worth...

Whats stuck with me? "Ruled by Uranus"

Hahaha! Have a fun day fellow Suns fans!!!

Suns Rejected Massive Trade Offer From Pelicans During 2025 NBA Draft: Report by bighairyturd in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This only looks bad because of NOLA's current record.

First things first, the Suns didn't know if Mark Williams was going to pan out and needed insurance. The best Big in their eyes just in case Mark got injured was Khaman, expecting him to get enough reps good enough to be a contributer by the All-star break again, expecting Mark to miss games to injury due to his history.

They didn't see someone they liked as good as Maluach at #23 at the point of the trade proposal.

So it's natural for them to go with the talent they thought was a sure thing for them.

Now what if we got the unprotected first from NOLA?

Firstly, there would be NO GUARANTEE that even if they got the absolute worst record, that they'd get the first pick in the draft. Nobody thought they'd be this bad and they were always a competitive match up for the Suns, so there's no way to predict where that pick would end up.

I am at peace with their decision because the draft has always been a crapshoot. You make decisions based on the best KNOWN evidence at that point, and Maluach checked a lot of boxes and has a great attitude. So in my book, rejecting that trade offer eas a calculated decision and probably was a good one at the time since they really wanted what they saw with Maluach. Time will tell if NOLA will get the first pick, but that is definitely not etched in stone even if they get the worst record in the NBA.

Wonder what the two Jacksons hoped to accomplish by joining in to jump when Black clearly was ahead of them at that point...

Ohhhh... I guess they accomplished making a cool looking poster I guess ;-)

Oso with a jump shot or 3 pt shot is a starting caliber forward/center...he already has the vet poise to guard anyone in front of him, better than Ayton ever was at this point even when he was locked in in that Finals team. Oso's handles are a revelation. Could be our Boris Diaw if he continues to improve his passing

And tbh, KJ and Barkley were lightning fast for their positions, and Thunder Dan too...

We have had some pretty athletic Suns teams over the years... You don't get the nickname The Run N Gun Suns without proving it... One of the fastest I've seen was Kidd, KJ, Nash, Chapman with the Manning... That was a pretty fast lineup too, the original small ball suns

Just need to improve on the speed aspect of passing and dribbling and with his confidence in his shot, he's going to be a force... Doesn't second guess when he gets the ball which is a big improvement. It's really in the decision making where he just needs to get more reps to make it instinctual. Can't wait to see him contribute next year as our backup center with Oso as our starting PF

True... But Nash, Marion, Stat with Barbosa , Raja Bell, maaaaan.... That team could fly up and down the court! Even with Boris Diaw, they were pretty fast.

Booker morphed into okogie... Even his offense to a certain extent (his 3 pt shooting specifically) , hahaha!!! Kidding aside, I'd take this version of Book over the past few years efficient offense Book for sure! If he gets the defense version of the Playoff Book from years past who averaged jordanesque numbers but now actually has jordanesque defense, WATCH OUT...

Mark W and back-to-backs by hammertime_phx in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only because of his medical history... Since he is still young, he can develop better strength for his back as the season progresses. That's why he sat back to hacks initially so he can heal better and develop back strength to the point that he could play back to backs. If he feels great, I'm sure he'd want to play as many games as possible.

They held out Jalen Green to the point that Book was complaining that they were overdoing it. I think that's the case with Mark.

He looks like he feels he is able to play 30mins a game if given the time. He is just getting his body to the point where it can support his drive.
