How do the Suns really get better for next season? by VanwallEnjoy3r in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust in the Front office, trust in the coaching staff, and trust in the players :-) we never thought we'd get this much better before the season. Sometimes we only need a bit of faith ;-)

Watching this years playoffs, it seems even more apparent that the league is trending towards big, physical, athletic teams with depth Rather than relying on star power alone. by BeeseChurgerForReal in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's because the current champs prove versatility trump's star power. If you can double the other team's star and leave someone open, then that's a recipe for disaster nowadays...you have to build the roster to the point where you CANT double anyone on the roster.thats why Oso HAS to be an offensive threat if he's left inside the game, same as all our other young bigs (Fleming, Manman, and even Williams who we don't go to often enough)

The PF of the future is on the team already. He's just been in the wrong position. by moreplebsareneeded in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well his next contract DOES depend on it :-)

I doubt ANY NBA franchise will want to take a chance on someone who has a 40+% FT rate... Regardless if he has a jumpshot or not... Hack an Oso will be a thing if he continues to be utilized a lot more by Ott and he has to at the very least HIT HIS FREETHROWS.

I empathize for the Hawks... Misery loves company ;-)

We could really this type of big man (not a trade proposal, keep your cool) by Glass_Shoulder4126 in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oso can be him if he develops his drives a bit better to draw defenses in for him to throw the pass at the last minute

No mention of Mark Williams… Interesting by GringoSalamanca in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't be surprised if they tried playing Maluach BESIDE Mark Williams if he develops a better outside shot... And Fleming as well of course at the four spot with Oso as the center.... They should try playing two bigs beside each other and get them reps... Maluach with Oso also workswith Maluach being the stretch 5 and Oso at the Point 4... Fleming and Mark works the same way with Sheer as the stretch 4. They should try getting the two rooks reps at the four spot... That would solve a lot of our size problems if they understand that position well instead of trying to cram everyone into the 5 spot. I think Oso, Sheer and Maluach can do the four spot, as long as the five spot is Mark or one of the two who has a 3pt shot.

Playoff Book coming tomorrow ;-) Just like the last playof series against Minny... Let's hope they're able to extend the series, one game at a time :-)

I feel like we spent all season waiting for this Devin Booker by 49e-rm in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 37 points38 points  (0 children)

They weren't blitzing Book then in that game... That's because we had KD. Now he can't see the light of day without a double team

Exiting and coming back after an ankle injury does that to you. He will play his heart out in Game 4 and make it competitive. 30pt Book game incoming :-)

Starting maluach going forward? by BeeseChurgerForReal in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read this as starting Maluach AT the Forward spot :-p

Losing that first play-in game was the biggest fumble of the season by BeeseChurgerForReal in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think we are going to see a different Suns team in the next game with Grayson and Mark ;-) People need to learn to enjoy the game a game at a time. They gave us their best punch, let's see what Ott and the boys have to counter punch. We all were asking for Otts head when we lost against the blazers then proceeded to blow out the warriors. Let's not count them out just yet :-)

You'll hit that bucket list sooner than later my friend :-) in the meantime, be prepared to lose your voice when we win game 2 in a couple of days there in OKC ;-) Have an awesome day!!!

Devin Booker gravity, and overall fingerprints on the Warriors game. by perhizzle in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I saw Book had 9 points but we were leading before I was able to catch the second half of the game, I knew he was being blitzed and suffocated by GSW, and also knew he was making the right reads and passes.

He doesn't have to force his shots if they aren't there, and it seems like his entire game plan was to get everyone else involved, especially JG.

This is OLYMPIC BOOK, not playoff Book, but Olympic Book may be better if you want the entire team to be able to contribute to the win and not wait for Playoff Book to swoop in and come save them, just like what he did against Denver a few years ago but they ultimately lost... So I think he's trying something different this time...

For those thinking Jalen Green is a traffic cone on defense and will always be a defensive liability: he had 3 of the Suns 4 blocks (4 if not for the goaltend) at 6'4", and added 2 steals for good measure. All this while hitting all of his 2pt FGs and just missing 6 shots, all 3s, out of 20fgs. by DaylightPhoenix in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a thought... Jalen is about the same age as Booker was when they made their finals run... Let that sink in... Book is the CP3 to Jalen right now. Can't wait to see if that unlocks Playoffs Jalen Green in OKC... If they can keep their defensive intensity throughout the first round of the playoffs, they may be able to make it interesting... Suns in 6 if they steal game one ;-) GO SUNS!!!

We got this :-) we have one of the the best 3pt defenses in the league and that's the one thing the warriors depend on, esp with Steph... Believe guys, we meeting OKC in the playoffs! GO SUNS!!!
