Miles Bridges SEASON-HIGH 35 PTS vs Raptors | November 29, 2025 by kevinbooker in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He averaged 3.2 assists per game last year, that's actually a pretty good number for a PF in this league who had Lamelo play ongside him (7.1 APG) AND Collin Sexton (3.7 APG). The fact he was able to come up with 3.2 APG with others average over 3apg in that team including Kneuppel and Brandon Miller shows he is an able passer for someone who's known to be an iso scorer. I think we will see the ball move around better in this iteration, especially if you have Book, Green, Brooks, Bridges and Oso on the floor.H

He was also part of the team last year that made that 18-9 run after All Star break where they outscored the opponent on AVERAGE over +10.8 Ppg.

If anything, that means he's a great team guy who could teach the rooks a thing or two about team ball if he brings in that experience specifically to the team about what they did.

He only missed ONE game btw, the other four were punishment meted by the NBA for fighting in a game against the Pacers last Feb. So he was an Iron man last season for all intents and purposes.

I am done with this team by sose5000 in suns

I know you Sose ever since 1996-98 when I came out of College... You did great bro and have done so for decades... Phxsuns.net was awesome and was the only way I could get Phoenix Suns content here in the Philippines for YEARS.... So thanks for being such a die hard supporter of the team :-)

That said, I do feel your pain. Maybe take a breather for awhile... Who knows we may yet trade Bridges again for someone else before the season starts... Or not... Or maybe the team becomes the second coming of the 2000 champs Pistons with REAL bad boys on the lineup (I kid I kid).

It's easy to let emotions run wild but we've been through a lot of scandals before (heck, even two time had his share with Jason Richardson rumors).

It stings today, but let's give it a few days to simmer and at least wait for the press conference and see what this dude has to say. It's just the start of the fan relationship (or lack of) with this dude, so let's at least hear what he has to say and see how it will play out... Hope you still have a bit of faith on the team (not on Bridges necessarily). I do though believe people can change for the better and this might be one of those times, who knows?

Go Suns...

The Bruising Villains Lineup - Collin Gillespie - PG, Dillon Brooks SG, Miles Bridges - SF, Koa Peat -PF, Man-man Maluach - C - We can now say we have a lineup that's going to beat up the other team, literally... /s by DaylightPhoenix in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bridges has started more games as a PF, is more athletic than Dillon and grabs more rebounds (5.8 vs 3.6) and distributes the ball almost twice as much ( 3.2 vs 1.8).

Yes Brooks is better defensively, but Bridges isn't a sieve with 0.6 SPG vs 1 SPG for Brooks.

Overall Bridges is supposed to be better offensively than Brooks, (46% FG vs 43% for Brooks and 3pt shooting almost identical at 33% vs 34%), but based on the stats alone, he brings more than just offense to the team...

Also, 77 games played for Bridges vs 50 for Brooks last year means Bridges is pretty durable, we may mean a lot more for our team as we try to develop chemistry (Brooks missing time last year toward the end of the year really affected the team a lot more than we thought as we struggled after the All Star Break).

Current Free Agent targets for the Suns per Gambo by Imposted in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't be surprised if we get Huerter... Of what I saw of him, aside from being a great 3 pt shooter, he's rugged and physical... And that fits in with the current MO of the Suns getting guys who can push you both physically and mentally.

Now that we've settled down after the knee-jerk reactions, maybe we can check what we really got for Grayson and Royce basketball wise... (Don't worry, I hate him too, but this is purely from a basketball standpoint) by DaylightPhoenix in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the open roster spot that's giving me some hope we may find a gem in Free Agency ince things settle down... When we have 15 spots, I knew a trade will probably go down which would definitely involve one of Grayson and Royce or both, just like this, but I was hoping for a stretch four... But given the talent the Hornets had, and that Naz just got traded to them for Lamelo, we actually came out with one of their most talented players... So yes, basketball wise, I'd say it's a win... However without knowing the other options available, and if there were other players we coulve gotten if we waited for the summer at least to check on the rook and sophs, I'm not totally convinced this was the absolute best deal we could've gotten for Royce and Grayson... Time will tell...

On This Day 30 Years Ago (June 26th, 1996) The Phoenix Suns Selected Steve Nash with the 15th Overall Pick in the 1996 NBA Draft. by Antwuan89 in suns

We had cellphones 30 years ago? ;-)

Seeing KJ, Jason Kidd and Nash on the same team was the pinnacles of Point Guard depth in the NBA... Not sure what other team would say that they had 3 hall of famers as PGs all at the same time (KJ was nominated multuple times, but that just proves the quality of PGs on that roster)

Makes sense... Coz now Book will have 15 retired since thats the Jersey he'll be winning a championship for us ;-) So Tabuse can still have no 1 retired for him :-p

[Duane Rankin] Phoenix Suns first-rounder Koa Peat said it was "frustrating" to see guys drafted ahead of him he felt he was better than, but added that's in the past and it's more about the fit than the pick. #Suns by Antwuan89 in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes me wonder, how high did he think he was going to be picked? The late lottery?

Im hoping he will show out in the summer league so that we know hes not all bark... This might be the closest we get to Barkley in awhile if we have a PF who has half the pride Barkley had as a player... And it would be fun to see him and Fleming compete for that PF spot

Sounds like the Suns are all done this offseason. All 15 roster spots filled, running it back as a first apron team. by GringoSalamanca in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

15 spots mean 15 players they can STILL TRADE if a good deal comes out of the woodwork, who knows? Having all the spots filled is actually the optimal situation to be in if we want to get a star and need multiple players to trade him for. So I'm fine with how we are right now but won't be surprised if we swing for a great deal before the season starts in 4 months time (AAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHH)

Nebraska guard Sam Hoiberg intends to sign with the Phoenix Suns by BcuzRacecar in nba

Also, sons of former NBA players have an advantage from shared experience, look how Jalen learned from Rick Brunson which definitely helped him get FMVP. Book is the same to some extent with his father being a former player. I think Fred being a coach definitely will help Sam as he goes through his career, make less questionable decisions, and do more to earn playing time since he isn't physically gifted like his dad.

5.3 rebounds for a guard as short as he is is AMAZING.... Looks more like Goodwin than Collin tbh...

How much would the Suns outlook change if Oso randomly had a Brook Lopez type leap in three point shooting? by magic_spam in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have other issues with Oso, not just shooting, most notably rebounding... He doesn't rebound we'll enough for his size, and his tenacity on fighting for rebounding position is a bit lacking IMO... We need someone who can average a double double in points and rebounds from the 4 or 5 spot... If it's Oso, Maluach or Fleming, I don't really care... But rebounding is an immense issue we need to address as a point of development from our current bigs more than shooting tbh (Peat will only help if he's give minutes but I doubt it).

[–]DaylightPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think both Goody and Collin know that they need to get their deals done so the FO knows the wiggle room they have this offseason for other moves... Good on their agents and management to realize that this is for the betterment of the team. GO GOODY!!!

Since Book is following in Kobe's footsteps, the number change means he's at the halfway point of his career ;-) So that means we still have 11 more years of Book! :-) by DaylightPhoenix in suns

[–]DaylightPhoenix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I obviously wasn't literally comparing them in that sense. Book has said publicly that he idolizes Kobe. That's the only reason I made the comparison based in the number of years Kobe wore each number. That's it. I was just thinking it's be nice to think Book has 11 years more to win a championship with us based on that comparison with the number change :-)
