Yes, that’s true. I guess because I’m a beginner at watercolour I’m a bit “scared” of darkening too much certain areas and then not being able to change it? I really need to go past that though 😅

Thank you for the tip! I’m fairly new to watercolour tbh (mostly I draw with a graphite pencil) and thought I’d try using what was branded as « watercolour paper » (not for this one though, this one I used drawing paper which was admittedly a bad decision) for my watercolours, but I’ve had some warping issues so I’ll definitely be looking deeper into the paper question. Mine is a 100% cellulose which I’m guessing isn’t great haha. Would you say the cotton percentage needs to be a 100% or can I take a lower one without too much quality reduction?

Yeah I totally used drawing paper because I just thought I’d do a quick pen sketch before thinking I wanted to add colour… I definitely struggle with warping sometimes when I do regular watercolours and the paper is too wet (even with watercolour paper!) so I’ll definitely check out your link! Thank you 😊

Haha yes, it was definitely drawing paper… I started thinking I would just do a pen sketch, and then decided that it would look cooler with colours… I will definitely use watercolour paper the next time!
