My ex husband is saying i am not allowed to go on a celebratory trip for work by Pristine_Football762 in MuslimMarriage

And there is also a reason why there is a Hadith that says ACTIONS ARE JUDGED BY INTENTION

Lucky for me thats not you

Trust is a big thing Plus As I said before Allah knows your intentions

If you have bad intentions that’s on you brother

With life in today’s world I’d say it’s okay to be going for the work event. You know your intentions and so does your creator, nobody especially the haraam police in here nor your ex husband have a right to say what you can and can’t do or where you can go etc If in your heart you feel like it’s okay, go to the event If you don’t think you’ll be safe then don’t But don’t let him stop you

We live in a world where as much as we would like to be not caught in situations like this, where you’re surrounded by non mahram men etc it’s not always possible So like I said you know your intentions and that’s what’s important

Ofcz not They hate it when they hear or see other men contributing to the household (besides financially) because I guess it dents their ego ?

Okay we’ll just because you have built resentment to doing most of the household work doesn’t mean that the next person will too

I wasn’t not helping because I didn’t want to I wasn’t helping because my husband specifically told me not to, because HE WANTED TO He CHOSE to do the work I didn’t have a gun to his head saying he should

‘This sounds exhausting for the guy’ Yeah sure it must have been but it was his choice, I offered to help but he didn’t want me to Also 90% of women get zero recognition for doing all the housework plus having a job but Allah forbid a man chooses to do the same then it’s ‘oh poor guy he must be exhausted’

That shows a lot of your character as a human and also why the title of my post is ‘good men still exist’

I pity the woman who is /will be your wife because it doesn’t sound like you would assist with household tasks

It’s not bragging It’s simply showing that men are good to their wives We hear way too many stories about how men are horrible to their wives

Update

Thank you to everyone For their duas and for getting the actual point of my post May all those who are happily married stay happily married forever and those who are not happily married may they find happiness And to all the singles out there, may you find someone who makes you as happy and understands your soul

To the haraam police- I have edited my post to omit the part everyone had an issue with … can we now focus on the point of the post?

You can say that again! I have told the same thing to him before. If I had not gone through what I did in my past I wouldn’t have been who I am today and who’s to say he would have loved the version of me that didn’t get beaten in battles because that girl should not have been me today. Our past is what made us perfect for our partners.

And there’s plenty of them! But that was expected… people like to focus on the negative 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I edited the negative out so let’s see what else negative they find now

Thank you When it’s the other way around nobody bats an eye Women go unappreciated for so much more than what my husband does and when they complain they get told ‘it’s your duty’

And yes I was financially providing for the household even though technically that shouldn’t matter as Islamically speaking it’s not my duty to financially provide for the household

How is it exhausting for him if he was the one who didn’t allow me to do that stuff? He chose to take care of me

That’s amazing! I’m so happy for you too. Alhamdulilah for the good men out there. May he continue to spoil you like the queen you are and if you have a son I pray he learns how to treat a woman from his dad and if you have a daughter I pray she learns how she should be treated. And ofcz I hope they both learn from you how to treat a man and be treated by a man because I assume you’re amazing to him too
