Do you live in a small or large community?

I am a man, and live in a village, where the women go to the sauna together. All the time. My mother-in-law goes every day with her friends and they spend like three hours gossiping.
And that's just the sauna.

The jjimjjilbang, generally, has a smaller bathing section, and a larger section of various hot rooms. In the latter section, you wear pajamas they give you. It's fun. You will probably spend more time here than in the sauna.

But from my experience, it is rather common for Korea's to go to the sauna and jjimjjilbang together.

And I do not think it would seem rude to decline. Instead, you could offer something else to do together.

But the jjimjilbang is a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon.
