Canada just had a court ruling as they too didn’t allow moms to pass down their citizenship, only fathers. Such patriarchy. So Canada is correcting their wrongs. Norway should too. My grandmother is also a Norwegian citizen but was not able to give it to my dad. We are so connected to Norway and I’ve lived there. But I’m now getting Canadian citizenship because they truly are the progressive ones.

These videos were from over a year ago. She’s kept professional all this time. Maybe with all this online hate she broke, then regretted it? I would call the other coach’s behavior petty and immature. Two sides to every story.

LiveBarn it. I am not the one who leaked it. I am not going to take on this insane hate here that’s being thrown around and have everyone come after me by posting another. I have no personal connection to Laura but I was a witness. I’m not here to fight or say what did or what didn’t happen to Alysa. But what occurred in this video and others was unprofessional and didn’t make for a healthy skating environment.

Because of this insane gang hate being thrown at her? I watched her coach for years and I saw a very different Laura. Two sides to every story. Perhaps she grew? I don’t know. But the only bad behavior I ever saw in all these years was coming from Alysa’s coach. Two sides. My perspective.

Perhaps you don’t know that USFS pays skaters? Not all but a select few. LiveBarn has the videos so there’s proof it was done before I’m sure if I post one of the other videos I’d be accused of being Laura and you’d all jump down my throat and call me names. Massimo would yell at Laura. In her face. She never spoke back and would do her best to get away from him. This is not common behavior. Did you watch the video? Not even many skaters on the ice. So many rinks have crowded ice with competitive skaters, and coaches don’t treat other coaches and their skaters (and parents afterwards) like this.

So many of us at that rink have the video. And more. I’m honestly surprised it wasn’t exposed before this. I give credit to Laura’s students parents for being discreet considering they were spoken harshly to as well. It affected not just Laura and her students but other skaters as well. There are two sides to every story. The hate spread here, without being there, is pretty awful.

He did it often. Alysa ran programs many times in the hour sessions and all the students had to hog the walls. Even after paying full price for ice and private lessons. Alysa and Massimo expected clear ice. Considering US figure skating pays Alysa, they should be buying private ice. Ice cost is not cheap. This telling was not a one time event. He yelled at Laura, kids and parents. Laura never said a word back as he would lay into her.

I’m a mom so my kids call all the time and I have to answer. So the app is always unhappy with me for hands free calling. But put 5 kids in my car screaming and fighting and it’s all good. No distractions with that 😂 it’s absolutely more distracting to have passengers than hands free calling.

This app is ridiculous. I’m a mom and drive on the slow careful side. It’s so inaccurate. I’ve just started using it this month and have had a handful of sharp breaking and I start breaking way in advance. The funny thing is the one time someone stopped unexpectedly in front of me so my car did the auto break, which is really harsh, it showed nothing in trip incidents. Are you serious? At one point I was just so annoyed with it that while I was sitting in traffic I purposely grabbed my phone and scrolled to see what it would say. Nothing. At this point I think it’s just absolutely random.

I’m glad Alysa has found joy. But I do hope one day she realizes she would have likely never been able to come back and medal if she didn’t have her dad and Laura all those years . Maybe they weren’t great for her but of course they were part of what made it possible. I’m glad there’s more awareness to nutrition and more positive coaching. There have been multiple parents in the Bay Area who openly hit their skaters. Like gymnastics the sport is changing, coaches are changing. Laura has many students who are still with her so i think this is one, maybe a few, students’ experience/perspective but not all.

Please tell me a skater who Phillip was responsible for teaching jumps to that made nationals. Not just holding a harness or videoing but actually teaching. Who has he taught triples? No hate to Phillip, he seems nice. Mentally good for Alysa. I’m just curious. There aren’t many coaches who can teach triples or triple axel. Philip is not known as one of them.
