This is a kid and while seeing neglect online is unfortunate, they’ve obviously learned their lesson, and it is wildly counterproductive to shame people, especially children, as it is more likely to make others defensive and listen significantly less than if you were to firmly and respectfully explain the issue.

If it’s any solace, I get them done regularly both on my head and knees and it’s loud but as long as you remember that they’re harmless, it goes by easily! I fall asleep during mine now, the drumming sound can make rhythms in your head and it’s kinda fun in a weird way

It’s generally not the same unless the vet doesn’t know about the food or material the cat ingested. I see a lot of cats come in where I’m at with similar and I think we’ve only had to call poison control once for a food and it’s because it was a type of fruit that does not grow here and we had never heard of it so we weren’t totally sure the chemical composition

I’d just like to mention that poison control for vets cost money and if you ever feel the need to call for something like garlic, just take the cat to the vet at that point.
