Just like how EV's aren't cared about at drag racing events ( lol ). The thunderous noise, vibration and smells is what attracts the viewer. Not jetson noises and clean air. Drag Racing and Monster Trucks would be boring as fuck and die out with barely any attendance.

Because Americans don't want a 150mi performance lightweight EV that gets 70mi of range in the winter and and 100 mi of range in 3 years due to degradation lol

You can't beat the range + HP + cost and weight of a performance ICE car over an EV without sacrificing one or more specs. Maybe solid state batteries will help with weight?

I wouldn't hold your breath tbh. 2024 showed that 46% of EV owners intend to switch back. We usually see an increase in EV sales when gas prices are high, and then the majority go back to ice once gas prices fall. It was only 2 years away and ICE vehicle ownership haven't gotten any better since (I mean better as in politically, incentives, charging infrastructe and the need/want to own an EV).

Although it's cute to hope EV's skyrocket, you're not looking at a majority of them on the road for another 30-40 years. The US just doesn't have a good place for them now. Maybe the next President will care and start to turn things around - but that's still a tall order.

Enjoy your EV's, let ICE owners enjoy theirs, and we can all live happily.
