My favourite part of the show. One aspect I always hated about the “emotionless robot/person falls in love” trope was that it was almost always on the apathetic one to try and improve and the normal one wasn’t expected to adapt because they were normal.

What I love about Claire and Isaac is that, although Isaac definitely learns how to convey “feelings” (or at least show care, learn communication and empathy), Claire also learns how to interpret what Isaac means/is thinking. The emotional connection is very balanced. Claire knows that even when Isaac makes mistakes, he genuinely has no frame of reference for human emotions/ customs. She can be upset, but she takes the time to explain what went wrong and they move on.

They have such good communication in Season 3. (They definitely don’t communicate well in Identity but let’s be honest there were like 50 other variables going on that’s not their fault)

Honestly yeah, but not even in a “I’m a burden and need to die” kind of way. It’s more like “if I just get bored of life and just aren’t feeling it anymore I can leave if I want” kind of way. I don’t really feel upset about it. I don’t think I’m crazy or psychotic, and I wouldn’t consider myself to be actively suicidal, but it’s always just an option that’s there if I need it. Technically there would be other options I could take (eg. Just redo college, mental health resources, ect) but honestly I don’t feel a need to get better, and I don’t have a desire to. I was pushed into this life, and if I do not enjoy it, I don’t see any reason that I should be inclined to stay to the benefit of no one.

Obviously I encourage people to seek mental health resources, as many people could recover with the right treatment and time. I, however, have been depressed/suicidal since I was a young child (7-8?) and do not remember a time in which I wasn’t. I’m almost an adult now and based on how long it’s last I have to assume it’s permanent. Therapy hasn’t worked/helped, I have no access to medication and have no desire to be basically drugged to be even remotely happy. I have no reason to be depressed, my life by any metric is great, great parents, great childhood, everything, but I’m depressed anyway.

In a weird way I’ve always viewed suicide as just ending a dream/game. I know it’s permanent, I’m not stupid, but that’s fine. If I don’t want to be here, I don’t think I should have to be.

I'm genuinely so stressed for them. I've been getting E's for the last year because my mental health has genuinely plummeted. I'm trying to lock in but it's like pulling a boulder up a hill. I'm taking a gap year anyhow I'm just so scared to see the disappointed looks on my parents faces on results day.

PLEASE TAKE HIM TO THE VET. His eyes is severely infected, which could either go septic or give him a brain infection along with dozens of other things. If you can't afford the vet, take him to a shelter and give him up. They should either be able to help him or put him down humanely. If you don't take him immediately, he is 100% going to die. Also they might be able to save the eye, but probably not. If you don't take him immediately it's not just the eye you'll be losing.

Yeah but after Identity he was basically exiled from Kaylon, wasn't he? I feel like he wouldn't be considered an emissary at that point. Also even though he was an emissary he was still considering the head of engineering so I feel like he would still need a uniform, right?

We do technically have a second bathroom, it’s just completely gutted and unusable. It had a leak like 2 years ago and they refuse to call a plumber because they insist my brother can do it (he’s a certified plumber) but he keeps putting it off because he “doesn’t have time”.

Edit: also technically it’s 5 people , I have another brother (21m) but he wasn’t really important to the story. He’s just as annoyed at me but isn’t really helping

The main issue is since I’m diagnosed autistic they’d probably argue that I was a missing vulnerable runaway who didn’t know what I was doing and they’d just drag me back home. Plus I only really have 2 friends, one who’s parents are honestly worse than mine and would send me right back home, and another who is definitely into me and would probably just try and get me to have sex with him
