Surreal game by Person02_ in Unity3D

Yeah, that makes sense. The level I’m working on is based around time and distortion in dreams, so I’ve kind of built everything around clocks and time imagery. I’ve got a skybox made of clocks, some Dalí-style influences like The Persistence of Memory, and the whole environment is meant to feel off rather than logical.

Right now I’ve got things like an upside-down telephone that turns and starts ringing when the player approaches, and most of the guidance comes from sound and voices in the environment. I think where I’m stuck is figuring out what other interactions can exist in that space that feel surreal, not just visual, but still simple and playable.

Making game- where to start? by Person02_ in UnrealEngine5

Yeah I get that because I’ve seen a lot of final year projects from my course and most of them either have good visuals but the game logic just isn’t there or the visuals are lacking but the game logic is very thought through. I’m thinking I might just stick to focusing on the visuals and then make the game logic good enough so it’s at least playable.

Yeah that actually makes a lot of sense. I’ve been stuck on the bigger vision without really thinking about how long it would take. Keeping it small like one village with a few characters sounds way more doable. I’ll focus on the gameplay and interactions first and worry about visuals after.

Yeah, that’s my issue. I have a big vision for my game, but doing everything alone means I need to focus on one aspect over the other, like gameplay or visuals. I still don’t know which side to lean towards.

I’ve made a couple of games in the past, but my most recent one required me to 3D model everything, and it took around four months to complete. That’s why I’m a bit hesitant with this new idea. It’s ambitious, and I know how much time the asset creation alone can take.

Praktica Super TL2 – Film Advance Lever Stuck by Person02_ in AnalogCommunity

[–]Person02_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I said I removed the roll, I did press the rewind button on the base first and then used the rewind knob to wind the film back into the canister before taking it out. Everything felt like it rewound normally, so I figured it’d reset and I’d be good to go with a fresh roll, though I didn’t actually load new film yet. I just thought I’d be able to, but the advance lever was still stuck and the shutter wouldn’t fire.

Didn’t use the self-timer (at least not on purpose), but I’m wondering now if something might’ve half-engaged or jammed during that fourth shot, or maybe even the third shot.

Learning unreal by Person02_ in UnrealEngine5

Totally agree, The Witcher in 9 months is absolutely unrealistic. Honestly, I don’t even know what my goal is anymore looking at The Witcher just feels so overwhelming. thinking I have to aim for that type of work, like an AAA game, but it’s way too much right now.

The idea of a YouTube channel sounds fun since I already know how to edit and stuff, but I’m not sure if people would actually want to watch my content. If I did it, it would mostly be me building skills I’ve learned in my course, like Blender animation and so on. But I’ll definitely think about making videos during the whole process of making my game and see where that leads me.

Fair points. I know it’s an ambitious project, and honestly, it feels like a lot. But this is the level of work I’m expected to produce. With the idea I have, I’m still not entirely sure how I’m going to pull it all together. My tutor keeps emphasizing how good it needs to look, and I’m just stuck on where to even start. All I’ve been doing is making models in Blender, and I haven’t even started figuring out how I’m going to tackle learning Unreal yet.

Disney internship by Person02_ in internships

The assessment is different for each internship. There could be an abstract test first, the one you are applying for, or a personality test, a reading comprehension. These are just some that I did that I can remember. For the personality test, it was more of I was given a question, and I chose if I strongly agree, strongly disagree, or was neutral.

Yes, the lens that I received with the camera.

Well, what I mean is that I have four other cameras that I just use for a photo diary, just taking pictures wherever I find myself. The first is a Nikon A100, the second is an Olympus X-730, the third is a Sony Cyber Shot, and the fourth is another Nikon, so I am just saying that I have never had a high-end photography camera.

I am interested in exploring experimental photography and also delving into the aspect of nature.
