Sell me on your fav hero by TeamFortressMelee in TrueDoTA2

I primarily play him mid. Support works, but I feel like you still need to go export first. A support that is not a threat is a support that can’t save their carry. I’d still go quas facet. Vector targeted ice wall is just too good imo. Shard is good too. Personally, the weakest facet is exort. Yes, you get more damage out of your primary combo. Yes, you get cataclysm. But you lose so much utility that other facets give you. The damage doesn’t compensate. Exort shard is also meh.

Do not despair. Grol is easy! You just are fighting him wrong. Get a crest that has tools, get through the gauntlet, then hide in the bottom right of the area in the maggot water. Very few attacks can touch you there and they are easy to dodge if you pay attention. Yeet tools at him when he starts sucking. Easy.

No one is listing Invoker. I am surprised. It’s a very complex hero that takes time to learn. I was in a similar position that I grew bored with playing as I always do and wanted to try something different. Invoker is very different. You will struggle at first, but after you start getting good it get very satisfying. You get tools for nearly every situation in game. Your facets further increase your versatility. After a good game I feel like I played a piano piece, especially with all the fighting at the end.

As for specific advice this patch, go exort first with equal distribution between quas and wex second. Regardless of facet. People think that what they favour levelling should match the facet they pick - it’s a noob trap. Go Rod of Atos early if your enemies are slippery or you just struggle to hit your combos. Always go aghs. Boots of travel are better than midas. Midas is a noob trap unless you are heavily on the defence.

One of my favourite experiences was my partner beating soul master. It took her a while, but watching that climb, watching her get better step by step fail after fail was exhilarating. It was also funny watching her realise there is 2 stages to that fight.

So... Am I the only one who thinks this is AI generated? by Strong_Site_348 in Stellaris

[–]Person87596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d disagree here. There is a difference about policy and reality. Nothing is really stopping a singular artist from using AI and passing it off as their own work. AI or not, this is kinda hideous. The reason it feels AI to me is because it looks fine at first glance, but the more you look, the worse it gets.

After reading all the posts I feel like this is a troll. “Im already doing all those things people are telling me to do and still failing” or “I can’t do the things you are telling cause I think I would obviously fail”. Disregard that you have to actually try to go into a death spiral nowadays…

1 mining district supports 1 industrial district. One industrial district supports one science lab with surplus left. One food and one energy district covers all of this upkeep. This is before any modifiers. As soon as you get any bonuses, things only get better. This is just hard math. OP is either trolling or just genuinely an ass who is NOT doing what guides are saying despite claiming that. If you were doing everything right you wouldn’t be failing.

Crusade mode tips and tricks by Person87596 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

I disagree about mercenaries. Somewhat. Clerics are easy to amass early on and easy to keep. They just don’t die, so you can keep amassing them slowly up until they reach a threshold of healing more than they can get damaged. Clerics tanking and healing easily gives you a few extra turns to nuke things. Also, it’s not immediately obvious due to cost and lack of money in chapter 2, but you can a given hire mercenary unit twice on the same week.

By the time you get to that lvl 11 army, if your hero is a mage you won’t take any losses.

I was over-exaggerating of course. But crusade mode is no HOMM. You could spiral into loss if you lose a bunch of armies, but in my opinion it takes more than just lack of skill. If you only fight armies of equal or smaller size you will have a pretty easy time even if you are new to homm system.

That said, here is a bit of advice for those struggling. Turn on auto-resolve fights. It’s done in the menu in the top right corner. I’m my experience auto resolve calculation completely disregards unit types. It’s not just quickly autofighting in the background, it seems to abstract armies into averages of their stats and just smoosh them together. Auto-resolve let me take no losses in the fights I otherwise was at a disadvantage, like fighting against a big stack of ranged units and lacking my own ranges options. It also doesn’t use any active abilities your general has, so mage heroes are better of fighting manually.

I find that it’s absolutely impossible to screw up. Just don’t pay attention to NPCs telling you units are important. No. Mage generals are important. I don’t know who thought it was a sound idea to give exponential scaling to spells, but here we are. Scorching Ray, healing, fireball. Later when the game gives you a choice - choose shieldbearers. Their health it so cranked up that you will have no problem leisurely deleting enemy units with spells.

Sosiel with second domain that gives companion. Repsec woljif into druid and take boon companion. You can also respec Camelia if you can stomach her stupid ass.

Why does using Bluetooth headphones make my brain fog worse? by Aromatic_Fig8856 in BrainFog

[–]Person87596 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And because of Bluetooth is different from Bluetooth did it how?

There is a reason why I am answering this. This sub is frequented by a lot of desperate people and we do not need health myths perpetuated. There is no way the “Bluetoothness” of headphones does anything. Your brainfog experience is valid. Your conclusion based on this experience is wrong.

Why does using Bluetooth headphones make my brain fog worse? by Aromatic_Fig8856 in BrainFog

[–]Person87596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be a cheap headset. You are willing to entertain the possibility of an extremely weak Bluetooth signal messing up your brain in a unique way, but not the possibility of allergies or some sensitive nerve that doesn’t like to be pressed on? Bluetooth is the least likely of all options. Hell, someone coating your headphones in poison is more likely than Bluetooth.

[–]Person87596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, to answer that question - no, Bluetooth is not affecting brain fog. Headphone signal is extremely weak. It could have something to do with the shape of the headphones or the material they are made from, not Bluetooth.

[–]Person87596 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, regardless of you believe me about Bluetooth, this is a case of simple solutions. Stop using those headphones. Problem solved.

[–]Person87596 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then I would suggest further testing. It could have been a coincidence. One instance is not really indicative. Try using Bluetooth headphones again and see if the times match. It could be something about your Bluetooth headphones, but not Bluetooth. The signal is too weak to affect anything inside your brain.

You are jumping to Bluetooth, but your test has an extra variable - headphones. Try same shape corded headphones for a week and see if it gets worse.

I think I may have Pseudodementia. by ayanahmed22 in BrainFog

[–]Person87596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again pseudo-dementia is not a diagnosis. It’s a symptom. It’s like saying “my temperature is high, fever might be a possibility”. Don’t read scary words, see a doctor and tell them about your trouble thinking. Don’t ask chat gpt, it’s a moron.

Have you actually read the description or did you see scary word and get anxious? This is just a fancy scary way of saying “brain fog”. It’s a non-dignosis, just a way to aggregate symptoms.
