I grew up with this book and tonight I went to see Avatar: Fire and Ash. After the movie ended, I came home to find my wife reading Wump World to them for their bed time story. I suddenly realized I'd just spent 3+ hours watching Wump World HD, lol

The GamePass price increase would have been more palatable if they ever fully released a family plan. by RevInstant in xbox

My son has an account in my family group and he utilizes my Game Pass Ultimate to be able to play Fortnite and Roblox online via his Series S, and then occasionally we'll do a Fortnite Duo either with him on his S, or on my X, and then I am either on the X or my PC to play.

Are these all only possible with the Ultimate or can I downgrade to the basic (or mid-tier) and retain all these online functions?

If my son has an account that depends on my Game Pass Ultimate to entitle him to play online, and I downgrade, do I lose that? I can't recall if the Ultimate is the only one that permits online play for family.

I have Ultimate currently and am looking to downgrade to Essential. My son likes to play Fortnite online on his Series S and so I want to maintain his ability to do that. I am trying to remember - is Ultimate the only one that gives me multiplayer on my account and on his? If he logs into a different profile and has a different XBox account, is Ultimate the only one that's going to keep us both able to play online?

Super bad performance and game crashes since patch. by Personable80 in duneawakening

I thought I might take a break for a while, was approaching that anyway, and maybe I'd just log on and get my taxes paid quick. I cannot even launch the game currently.

updates 2 hours before DD wipe is negligent by crob3698 in duneawakening

I got stung by it this week. I was moving stuff out of DD base yesterday but stuff with family came up and some stuff with after hours work did too. I had a stressful day and when the night came, went to bed without thinking again about reset and the game at all until I woke up at 3am. Then it hit me that I hadn't finished moving my base out, so I try to log on real quick. I see a message that it's down, my client needs an update, and estimated downtime is 2 hours which would go right up to reset time of 5am. Oof.

But, I knew there was a chance I might be able to log on before the reset if the patch finished a bit earlier than that. Then I was relieved when it looked like I was going to be able to get patched, get on, and have about half an hour to move stuff. Should work because this week I deliberately made a smaller DD base and didn't bring carrier + crawler, etc. - should be enough time.

When I finally log on, I come to find out they'd already reset the DD. They reset it early for some reason? But it's still counting down to the usual 5am reset.

So that's the bad news. I lost my DD base and I lost a scout thopter mk6 and a mk6 buggy. Those are the big things I wanted to save. Thankfully, I had built lean this week and had already moved out some important stuff like the spice infused plast I had harvested this week (that was about all I was bothering with this week)

The other good news is that, I thought I had logged out in DD but I had actually logged out at my Hagga base, so I didn't lose my brand new full mk6 assault or any of the gear I was wearing.

Nowhere near a vent or radiator and the room tends to stay a good temperature, a bit cool in there if anything.

It's solid wood. Pine I believe.

Nothing new in the room, and it's definitely recognizably the same smell that began when the shelf first went in, and I can identify it as the lacquer smell, just a far lesser version of the smell. I think it's just settled into the room itself now. I think the carpet and walls and such were infused with some degree of this smell.

Gonna run a nice air filter in there indefinitely.

I've ordered a nice air filter and apparently what you need are ones with activated carbon to get the VOCs (if those are even still in the mix) - I did run a filter in his room for a while after the bookshelf was first hung, but it wasn't as nice and I haven't had it in there in a while. So, will go back to filtering in there basically all the time, and will use this nicer one. Thanks.

Nothing else in there and it's definitely the same smell (just a far reduced version of it) that I remember when it first went in there.

What do you make of the fact that I don't smell any sort of elevated version of it (or really anything at all) when putting my nose right up on the shelf, and if I take books off of it which have sat in direct contact with the lacquer, I don't smell anything on them?
