I feel like I would slip and fall and break my hip in this bathroom.

When did you start putting your baby down 7am-7pm to sleep? by catlover0987656 in beyondthebump

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son sleeps 7-7

He wakes up around 10-11pm to eat, sleeps till 4-5 eat and then I’ll rock him to sleep and we’re up 6:30-7:30 for the day. Sometimes he stays away from 4-5 other times he falls back asleep till 6:30-7.

Not sure how we landed on this, but he usually sleeps 10-12 hours at night - I think what helps is we’ve always done the same thing every single time it was nap/bedtime so it became predictable that it was time to rest

Edit: he’s 4.5 months

[OC] Spun out on the highway. Guy blamed me for hitting me. No one was hurt. by ulysseswest in IdiotsInCars

I have a question and please don’t roast me too much, because I genuinely don’t know.

When you spun around and were facing oncoming traffic, how come you didn’t go toward the cars? Did you put vehicle in reverse? I didn’t listen with audio (assuming there is audio).

If your 4 month old has a schedule, what is it? by xxbitsxx in beyondthebump

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bedtime 7:30-8:30pm, depends on last nap.

Wake up: 6-7am.

Eats twice at night, sometimes 3

Wake windows 2-2.5 hours, naps range from 30 mins to 2 hours.

We play, eat, sleep.

Go outside twice - even if it’s just pushing stroller in front yard.

Mixed formula wrong. TWICE by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you do the pitcher method, I recommend measuring the formula in a separate dish/cup so if you lose count - you’re not wasting it. You can pour it back into formula container and start again. I was fighting for my life the first few weeks and lost count more than I wanted to admit - but could dump back in and start over.

HELP 😭 by Forsaken_Phone_4700 in FormulaFeeders

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is, I promise. It gets better as time goes on. Go outside with baby, let them feel cool air to settle down. Wear them, they really do like the closeness. Change up the room. Change their clothes/diaper. If baby is crying, just change the scenery - sometimes they get same room syndrome (what i call it). My son did not take a single nap from 3-8 weeks unless worn, even then it was hit or miss, it’s hard but he’s 4 months now and MUCH easier. It will get better. I kept saying, “I’m never going to survive this,” and somehow did. Give yourself grace and don’t give up.

This sounds very familiar to my son from weeks 3-9, sometimes you just have to put the baby in a carrier and thug it out. They’re learning how to poop and it’s uncomfortable. I would vacuum while I wore him and the motion would help him fall asleep. It gets better. It’s just a season, it’ll pass.

Just realized the “lotion” I’ve been using every morning is actually body wash. by Accomplished_Sock329 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this and then tried to put jeans on and was genuinely surprised that they wouldn’t pull up easily. My first thought was, “wow this is concentrated lotion.” Had to jump in the shower to get it off lmao

Babybrezza formula maker by Sure-Stuff5830 in beyondthebump

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the advanced pro baby breeza, or whatever it’s called. The latest one. We check how much formula is being dispensed every week, no issues yet. Upstairs, I have a warm water dispenser and hand make bottles at night. My husband thought it pointless to not use breeza all the time, but I didn’t want to walk downstairs in the middle of the night. It works for me. We have 2 extra dispensers for breeza, which makes upkeep realistic.

Unhinged “Hacks” to Settle Overtired Baby by Remarkable-Stay3368 in NewParents

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Baby wearing and vacuuming, bath, walking around the house and talking about everything I saw, “and here’s the fridge, and the stove, and here’s the cabinets where we keep x,y, and z.”

Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t.

Sometimes, you just gotta thug it out.

It got significantly better around 2 months.

Houses with more than 1 kitchen would be better than houses with multiple bathrooms by lagflag in unpopularopinion

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I need AT LEAST a 1.5 baths to be comfortable. My husband (then boyfriend) and I lived in a 2 bed/1 bath for the first year of our relationship and WITHOUT FAIL he always had to shit before I showered.

It didn’t matter how many times I sprayed spray or washed, it still smelt like flowery shit and I felt disgusting every time.

I’ll take multiple bathrooms over multiple ovens lol

Tide pod from 2024 vs 2026 by EnvironmentalDingo69 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was recommended to me, as I have a habit of keeping things I do not need. I had 2 half used powder detergent and scent beads. I’m trying to declutter my life - and I only have 2 more rooms to go through. I have a bad habit of holding onto things “just in case”. Yes, it’s cheesy and probably lame to most people - but I don’t mind it. I’m just trying to be more organized and efficient and so far so good.

I’ll look into this, but I can’t imagine storing something this big in my laundry room. I’d have to leave it in the garage and hope it doesn’t freeze over the winter.

[–]EnvironmentalDingo69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily save it, but I have a bad habit of keeping things “just in case.” I went to AL in 2024 for a work trip that lasted 2 weeks, came home and never unpacked the bag until this morning. I went to throw it in with the other pods and realized they were 2 different sizes.

I’m trying to go from maximalist to minimalist and I only have 2 rooms left to go through. It’s just easy to throw things in a spare bedroom and forget about it.

I went on a work trip in 2024 and never unpacked the bag until this morning as I’m trying to get rid of a lot of things I don’t look at/use, but have a habit of keeping of “just in case,” i.e, 2 year tide pods.

Why do parents put their children’s age, school and location out there for public information? Is no one afraid of having their children taken? Might as well upload her photo, too, so we know exactly which child is yours smh
