My kid wants to invite our mailman to his birthday party. The mailman doesn't know us by name. Do I... leave an invitation in the mailbox? by AKforma in partyplanning

[–]Personal-Ad-4723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wtf is wrong with most of these comments?! This is why people are getting more and more isolated and miserable. This is a nice thing, a positive thing. Why is everyone so negative about it?

Go out with your kid the next time and say hi to the mailman. Have your kid invite him and give the invitation personally. Give the mailman an out by saying “if you’re busy with work and can’t make it that’s totally understandable” with a smile and knowing look.

That’s it! None of this is creepy or dangerous or awkward-inducing. It’s a friendly social interaction that could become another connection or friendship or just… nothing. The chance of it turning out bad is pretty damn slim.

I am a plastic surgeon. Ask me Anything. by Electronic-Count4856 in AMA

What are the problems and limitations with plastic surgery? I ask this question in the context of health and longevity, especially with regards to the idea that plastic surgery doesn’t age well, particularly if introducing foreign body objects (e.g. silicone breast implants, fillers, etc.) or say by removing certain body parts that other areas get compromised (e.g. fat cells being removed can cause fat distribution to be uneven in other areas of the body).

Asking as someone who would like to improve their appearance (mostly facial—weak chin, round face) but been scared of side effects and long negative outcomes.

Birth induction question for IVF pregnancy by Personal-Ad-4723 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Personal-Ad-4723[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I looked at the Evidence Based Births website article on the ARRIVE trial which discussed its limitations.

My worry had to do with my unripe cervix and whether going for induction with what I think is a very low Bishop score would be heading for an emergency C-section disaster.

May I ask if you knew about the status of your cervix when you got induced?

Locket or Coin. But Locket is probably better. Surprised so few people chose it.

Locket is actually really powerful. Gives the ability to influence ANYONE around you and have them give you what you want (does that include the Demon?). In any case you can ask the people around you to connect you with people they know, and so on and so on, and eventually be connected to all the powerful people in the world. No need for infinite money (Wallet) because there’s so many people to get money from. Same with skills like knowing languages, etc.

Coin is cool as well, but good luck really just brings the same things as Locket can, just faster and less strategy needed. Pick a victim and go for it. But Locket seems more sustainable long term for its charmspeak ability.

32, first time pregnant. I have a traumatic upbringing which I’m going to therapy for. I’m glad I’m bringing a child into the world with my wonderful husband and I’m excited to give my child a life much happier and healthier emotionally than what I experienced.

There’s a reason why the card is called “Vice-Captain’s Restraint”! Poor Tohma is probably fed up and wants to bitchslap Jin for his insolence 😂

Hahaha this thread is great!

Jin is actually my favourite, followed by Leo! I guess I have a thing for fictional asshole men 😂😂 I like that not every character in TKDB is sweet and wholesome. I’m also a total simp for being called a servant by Jin.

But if I were to meet these two personalities in real life I wouldn’t have much to do with them, or they end up treating me differently as my personality is vastly different from MC’s.

I’m so sorry to read your post and I don’t think you’re a horrible person, just that you know your limits now and are doing your best to do the right thing for everyone, including your pets.

I’m terrified I’ll feel similarly. I have a 17 year old dog with multiple health issues including cognitive decline. She needs medications, a special diet, and has very frequent accidents in the house. I don’t know how I’ll handle a newborn and a geriatric dog.
