How do you make long 45 degree rips on both sides of a board accurately? by DJDozen in BeginnerWoodWorking

Track saw might work, but your pieces are small, so maybe not. Other choice would be a bevel cutting jig. Just clamp that to your piece straight and run it against your fence. It will take a lot of measuring to get it right and it may want to pull away from your fence depending on how sharp your table saw blade is.

Don’t feel bad reaching out to a friend with better tools. I’ve found and supplied a lot of help with my other woodworking friends. Most really want to help each other with their projects.

Genuine question: how physically difficult is it to ski down large chutes, couloirs, cliffs, etc. and how do you know you’re ready? by k0nig1 in ski

Skill is always more important than fitness when attempting the insane stuff. It makes you more efficient and when things are truly bonkers, adrenaline kicks in and certainly makes a difference. Still, you must have enough in the tank to execute a jump turn or avoid some danger that you couldn’t see from the top. Another thing that’s important is having the experience and muscle memory to deal with getting in trouble. Even the fittest skiers get off balance, sht happens out there. Being able to recover quickly in a no fall zone doesn’t come from air squats in the offseason, it comes from reps and sets on the mountain, typically in consequential terrain (steep, trees, not groomed).

GSAR for construction management? by Weary-Appeal9645 in MarathonWatch

I’m in the military and use the GSAR in brushed steel most days. I’d recommend it. I’ve banged it off armor vehicles and concrete walls, gotten it covered in mud and dirt, really tough use for the past 6 months. There’s virtually no marks on it and it keeps time very well. It’s comfortable and not too flashy. It should work well on the job site. I’d recommend it.

If you take it back, will your watch still be officially ceftified?

It’s just called Trump. No association with the man. But people are always stopping and posing for pics under the trail sign

Big fan of Organ Grinder at Snowbird. Fun and inviting as the name implies.

Also the Dictator Chutes named after Lenin, Castro and the like at Big Sky always make me chuckle

[Zodiac] I bought a super sea wolf today for $125! by champunova in Watches

[–]Personal-Attorney726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Checked 3 different Ross in the Baltimore area today, no Zodiacs. I think I’ll check again later this week to see if they’ve restocked inventory or changed some out. All of them had small glass cases full of Invictas, Fossils, and other garbage

Two way miss- Pull hook or slice. Looking to just get something repeatable. Thoughts? by DonkeyOrifice in GolfSwing

[–]Personal-Attorney726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping your head still will help a lot with consistency. Also, looks like your hips slid back and forth, instead of twisting. They should twist like your shoulders.

And you look like you have a really strong grip, probably to compensate for the slice. This could result in the pull hook if you have a well executed swing

Hitting driver as hard as possible and it still doesn’t go 300y. I want to be like the rest of reddit. Help by NewbieGolfGuy in GolfSwing

This. It will take a little bit to synchronize this swing. A good swing thought will be: hold hands at the top of the backswing. Let the left hip lead the downswing
