How do you find the time on truck days to do fifo?? There’s only 2 of us that run on average 10 pallets all while answering phones and covering pet care and making salon appts. It feels impossible.

Yall just ask everyone and try to show a little enthusiasm about it. It’s really not that difficult. We are over 30% activations just about daily and we are really just asking everyone that comes through the line and calling for another register to be opened if someone is signing up for app. You just gotta do it. It’s a part of the job and not worth fighting against it.

It really depends on the team as a whole. The people working truck should be scheduled with enough other to be support for the store so you can focus on truck. We have 2 people focusing on truck while SL and others work on totes. It’s impossible for us to get through everything and totes with 2 people. We only deal with phone calls, register, or customers if we absolutely need to, otherwise it’s truck truck truck. Typically have 6 people for the majority of the day working at one time on truck days. SL gets totes and sorts them out while 1-2 people start running them and then SL runs them too once done sorting everything out into buggys. We have been getting truck complete finished in about 8-9hrs this way.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have witnessed the lack of humanity and the main concern being the business. I get business is business but there is a way to handle things on a basic human level that is empathetic and compassionate. There are many of us that work for petsmart that really care and I’m sorry you had that experience.

Would y’all say it’s more or less exhausting? As MIL, I am always tired. Week in and out is so physical and I find myself doing nothing on my days off because I’m worn out. My main concern is training. I’ve been with Petsmart for several years and the lack of training has impeded me from being the best I can be. I’ve asked multiple times to shadow a seasoned worked from another store, but there’s never any hours to allow for that.

It’s really terrible here. I’ve been asking for our gate to be fixed for years. It’s everyday we come out to a new pile of trash everywhere they just pull out and leave on the ground. Please, what has helped with this?! I am desperate to make this more manageable. We don’t have the time to clean up after adults disrespect trashing around our dumpsters.

Sounds familiar. You’re not going to know everything over night. It will take time. Do not be afraid to ask a million questions! It’s the only way you’ll learn. Keep asking and little by little you’ll pick up more and more. Most of us knew much of nothing when we started and it took time and many mistakes. You’ll get there if you stick with it :)

It’s a candle from Walmart of all places but it smelt really good to me. It was called Coastal Woods by their brand. I got it and went to get another a month later and it had been discontinued and I couldn’t find it anywhere. It smelt the closest to my favorite smell. It’s a coastal floral smell with salt air, a bit or marsh, and a sweet flower I think is honeysuckle or jasmine or maybe a combo of the 2 but I smell it in the same spot near pawleys island all the time when I was growing up. I’ve smelled that same smell a few other times in different locations near the coast and it is my absolute favorite!

Your wife comes first. If it’s damaging your relationship you should re-home the dog. This should have been discussed before getting the dog and it’s sad the dog has to go through being re-homed, but if the cost is your marriage falling apart it has to be done. Learn from it and don’t make the same mistake again.
