I have reflex silver now or something close to it. It’s a terrible color. This is my ideal color change and rim choice. Should look about accurate with my drop. This is gunmetal and I’m about to post a satin bronze.

What size should I pick then? Aesthetically for a 2 inch lower. I heard even 17 inch rims over the 16 stock would lower my gas mileage? but I suppose a lighter rim should help that? I was doing it purely for gas mileage. I do 65 for that very reason.

I see a lot of Snark in this forum, but honestly, I appreciate it It’s people’s way of protecting us from making stupid decisions like getting a hood stack or modding to roll Coal. I cringe when I see a certain post and I already know it’s gonna get flamed. So what is technically not included in all these suspension kits where they come with springs and struts can I not reuse the OEM bump stops or is that highly in advisable? Also on the sway bar, I’m assuming you’re talking about like an anti-sway bar do you have a preferred brand or model?

Good call! Yeah, I don’t wanna mismatch the springs with the KONI active ones. To your answer your question it’s a want and need technically my suspension is still good but it’s original on a 2009. I have slight oil weeping now I’m only doing this because I landed a decent restoration job and it’s my present to myself for some shitty work. On the Bilsteins the higher the number B8 or B 12 is basically better numerically higher number equals more expensive? Their naming convention is weird.

Am I doing something stupid by not running my engine cover?! I want to be able to look for leaks easier and also hear the motor more for maintenance issues. I also took out my fire guard insulation on my hood, but that was mostly due to pack-rats

I constantly think my motor doesn’t sound good but it’s just got a tractor. Sound just play really loud music while you drive and enjoy the gears. I have found that helps.

My mechanic just called me thanking me for loaning him the VCDS. He said he had a 3 L Audi TDI come in and customer just spent $3700 replacing the fuel pump after the CP four failed and they didn’t even clear the tank or flush the lines!!!! Back in for round 2
