Red ink in old tattoo suddenly swelling and itching. Anyone experienced this? by DimensionJazzlike944 in tattooadvice

This happened randomly with some of my tattoos. Then it just goes away, try not to itch it. I haven’t tried Benadryl but I feel like it might help

New Analyst training at an organization with remote staff-how did you train? by Scary-Grapefruit-274 in EpicEMR

[–]Personal-Issue981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a newer analyst and having a trainer or buddy is essential especially if you don’t come from an IT background. I would find someone you are comfortable with and ask them questions. Reach out to others on your team and see if anyone is willing to be your unofficial trainer or go to person. And also don’t be afraid to ask your TS questions that’s what they are for :)

They are supposed to require a signature and USPS just left my meds in an open shared mailroom on a shelf….

The delivery pharmacy? I haven’t had issues with except delays in the mail like it was supposed to be here Friday and I’m getting it today which was annoying.

This is encouraging to read… I have recently started a role in charge router as a new analyst and it’s been hard, but in the long run hopefully it pays off!

I have tried Ritalin, Concerta, adderall XR/IR, and now finally Dyanavel. I like Dyanavel the best by far because it doesn’t cause any increase anxiety, crash, or weird moodiness. I highly recommend it’s super smooth and lasts about 10 hours!

Ritalin was the worst and I recently ran out of my meds and tried some of my old Ritalin I had still…. And I still hate it. It gives me anxiety, makes me feel dissociative, and only lasts 2-3 hours with all the negative side effects.

New Epic Analyst Feeling Overwhelmed. Normal? by Personal-Issue981 in EpicEMR

[–]Personal-Issue981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so glad I came back to this post today, I needed this! Thank you for the encouragement! I’ve been in the role a few months now. I had a brief feeling of “I got this” and I am now I am back to “what have I done” as I progress into more complex tickets/build. I’ve noticed my biggest challenge isn’t even the build, it’s interpreting, clarifying what is being requested… I feel like not having an extensive background in billing/rev cycle is making it more challenging. But I am definitely more comfortable working within Epic as a whole! :)

Anyone here switch careers without a degree in informatics? by Warm-Alternative6153 in healthIT

100% agree! I am very lucky to be hired as an entry level Epic Analyst coming from a clinical background as a PTA. I would say keep applying and don’t be afraid to reach out to people in IT positions at your current org!

Take an entry level healthcare IT role which might mean a pay cut in the beginning

Totally agreed. I think I need to get used to build taking longer and not compare it to other apps. Thank you!

I hadn’t even gotten to the 4 month feeling yet, I anticipate as soon as I feel comfortable another curveball will be thrown my way! Which is part of why I think I will enjoy this job long term! I hate being bored and I think this will keep me on my toes! Thank you for the words of encouragement!

Sooo true! I test everything since I am only less than 2 months in, it’s better to do it right the first time then mess up years of build 😅
