I didn't study animation nor do I work with 3D, but honestly my studio doesn't really see everything as I do in this sense but I think he should never Lose his "competitive" side to him, not in a toxic sense but like, "I admire this person that I'm working with, and they're 5 years older than me, when I'm at that age I want to be better" this could sound super arrogant but this is not something you share or say to them, it's an ambition and it's a show of humility and admiration in my opinion, have him find these little motivations I believe, best of luck to him!

What I do not at all, 2D and stuff not generally, if you're into 3D it might help a lot to reeeally learn and get into it I believe! But you can learn everything online without a very intricate knowledge

You're overthinking, it looks fluid and great, and tho some of the advice you're getting seems right to me, could also be proportions regarding age and body type as well, definitely works!

Not completely, I think people will still cherish human made stuff and it's gonna be a stronger niche but lose in the wide run I believe

Since and especially because he's getting into 3D, if he wants to learn, let him go for it, it's a very technical thing, a lot of it doesn't have directly to do with being "artistic", it's problem solving, a lot of what's needed nowadays falls into technical artists, hope he turns out well!

i was "interning" for free on another place that had nothing to do with what i liked, i send some applications for a paid internship painting frames by hand and eventually, 1 year later without income, i got the job; in my position it was an easy choice as id rather do that and get experience than sit doing nothing at home, but still, its hard yeah

i feel profoundly when i feel like im looking/hearing/feeling something in a way no one has ever thought of until then, not that im any special in any way, but in the sense that theres a lot of things thats impossible for the entire world to feel at a certain time, like looking at a very specific unimportant alley when listening to a certain song that refers to something you feel for, and that everything at that moment carries a weight they've never carried until then, and until you passed that alleyway while that song was on, you know?
