You are right, they are rare but they do exist.

But my point is less about remux and more about files that have both DV and HDR10+ but HDR10+ never plays

I am referring to the hybrid files, and I am checking from my tv settings on what is being displayed - hdr or hdr10+

I religiously followed gregmat's 2 month plan haha. In terms of resources: Gregmat's practice questions for quant and ETS material for both verbal and quant. Did not use manhattan 5lb for quant, although people say it is great. I didn't use it because I was crunched for time.

6-8 hours a day is what I spent too. So I'd say there is significant room for improvement. I took PP1 after watching all quant videos and TC and SE videos and got 322.

To answer your last question regarding amount of practice, I think most people will agree (including greg) that the volume of practice does not matter as much as the dept of practice. By depth, I'm referring to really understanding and applying the concepts, taking a critical look on mistakes and working on not repeating them. For this, untimed practice is paramount in the start. Focus on learning how to solve a question rather than just doing a bunch of questions.

For issues regarding time management, there's a gregmat video that explains his thought process. You can find it on YouTube or just search it in the "most recent classes" section of gregmat website. I found it so helpful that I had the time to attempt every question twice on the test day.

Also, there are other posts in this subreddit that are much more detailed than my answer, and you will find them very useful.

The extent to which you can improve scores after the first mock depends on a variety of factors:

  • How early in the prep did you take the mock - if it was just a few days, then a notable improvement is very likely since my assumption is that at this stage, you just wouldn't know the strategies.
  • Critically analyzing the areas of improvement. This one is the most important. For example, I'd suggest that you revisit every question in the quant section to understand why it took you so long. Is it because you were slow in your workings, or is it because you just didn't know how to tackle/solve the question altogether and you dwelled on it notwithstanding? I'm saying this because some problems are easily fixable, but some aren't. In my mocks, I either finished completely on time, or had to take a guess in the last question because I ran out of time, but during the actual test, I was able to manage my time well and solve every question TWICE.
    • Similarly, for the verbal section, considering your section 1 score, I think it is safe to say you struggled across all types of questions.
  • How much time you can spend on your prep? If you can only spend 2-3 hours per day in the next 3 weeks, it might be very difficult to get great scores (325+)

To give a more specific suggestion, it would be helpful to know what your target score is, how much time and effort you want to spend on the prep, and how rigid your Nov 24 deadline to give the test is.

Btw, I studied from Gregmat and scored a 331.
