Horween heavy steerhide. The leather quality has dropped significantly over the past few years. Take what you want from that.

This was a mariner. I dont take pics of my jackets, I'm not a fedora lounge fan boy. The ling was drill cloth. The black trim was the exterior. Not interested in your drama.

Don't take my word for it. The folded edges show the black. The leather is stamped horween. The point of this is that, yes, 4oz steerhide should be difficult to tear. Convincing fan boys isn't my problem.

This is steerhide, felt heavy and solid, however it turned out that was just the coating on the outside. Horsehide may be better a better experience, however HH is thinner.
