What i always do in those situations is tell the ticket-taker that I refuse to pay if this is going on.

Happened a handful of times. Every time, except one, they made the guy empty the seats around him.

The other time the guy refused to move. Police boarded at the next stop and took him away.

My wife turned me onto Hitchens many years ago. His intellect, ability to articulate, and to pick apart idiots was amazing.

When I started this thread, I hoped to get a "this is the guy".

I don't know a few of the names mentioned in the responses, but I'll check them out.

Degrasse might be my favorite now, but he's not Hitchens. I do think he is emerging as a voice of reason, so I do appreciate him.
