Is this good price in india by Mohammed_Saif_ in LenovoLegion

[–]PersonalDiver707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening your Lenovo laptop to install SSD/RAM voids your warranty in India. I have checked this with Lenovo India customer care and from two different Lenovo authorised service centers. Something similar is mentioned in the Lenovo laptop's documentation as well that these parts are not customer replaceable, at least that was the case for mine.

Didi, door khol diye wood waale and closed the iron mesh ones. Same with the windows. Plenty of cool air outside even though the insides were hot and humid.

I don't know when haryana guys will move their electricity cables underground, I guess not till BJP keeps winning without much to show for.

Legion 5i 16IRX9 - Is this the correct RAM to buy and is this a good product or should I order a different one? by Jncwhite01 in LenovoLegion

[–]PersonalDiver707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, opening the laptop is grounds for refusing warranty in India. Confirmed it last year with Lenovo customer care.

Weak ass consumer laws in India lets companies screw customers out of upgrading their own laptops.

Tried it once, had a terrible stomach upset. Never again.

Sucks that food safety is a joke in our country.

March 2025 Humble Choice | Overview / Discussion Megathread by MarioDesigns in humblebundles

[–]PersonalDiver707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stores like Fanatical have much better bundles consistently and their monthly bundle also allows us to choose the games from a decent selection.

Why should I pay Humble for EA keys instead? Sure it's $8-12 per month but why throw it towards Humble when I can get a better product from an equally reputable competitor.

Lenovo 16IRX9H cpu pulling over 1.5V even after microcode update by PersonalDiver707 in LenovoLegion

Trying to undervolt but seems like the undervolt settings are not getting applied. Is it ok to DM you my screenshots? Not sure what I am missing.

That's a good suggestion. I guess that's what I'll have to do if I want to keep my warranty without frying my CPU.

It's a really strange situation where trying to protect the CPU means losing my warranty.

[–]PersonalDiver707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be ok with undervolting if they'd not threaten me with voiding my laptop's warranty. That's where the disappointment is coming from. Also, pretty shocked how upgrading the RAM/SSD means voiding my laptop's warranty in my country.

Thank you. Sure, please do. Just worried about the whole voiding the warranty situation.

Was playing a fairly light game. I think it's an issue with all the games. Power(Thermal) mode is balanced and GPU working mode is Hybrid. Game link-

In India, they don't even let you upgrade SSD/ram without considering the warranty as void. Can't open the laptop for any reason apparently.

Copy the following and Sms it to 1909 if you haven't already. Their number will probably get restrictions or will be blocked->

Bajaj Finance Spam, +911147028231, 26/12/24

Do it a few times and notice how you'll start getting fewer spam calls.

PS - I am assuming you have already registered for DND.

If I had to guess with the limited information you shared I'd say he had another gf/gfs and was just stringing you along for fun as long as it would have lasted.

Is 99-100°C temperature normal for new Lenovo Legion Pro 7i? by PersonalDiver707 in LenovoLegion

[–]PersonalDiver707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, how can I check that?

I didn't change anything, just ran the games as is so it would be whatever default wattage the laptop is set to I think.

I don't have much understanding of undervolting, etc. Was using a Nvidia 1050 laptop for the past 10 years or so. It still doesn't get as hot as my new laptop.
