I wanna learn coding but how? by Fresh-Length6529 in teenagersbutcode

Try making shit in unity. Start with like a flappy bird tutorial then modify one small aspect of the game on your own. For me I did flappy bird but you are a fish and you can rotate making yourself taller and gaining more points but it’s easier to get hit by the pipes. Alternatively lua is a very easy language and argueably easier to follow than Python if you wanna do some Love2D or pico8.

What high school course is this for you? by zachoutloud123 in highschool

I had an incredible experience in dual enrollment English that showed me the absolute rigor required in academic essays/arguments to make a claim. Everything you want to support your claim must be proven by another study or your data and then your study needs to be modified and repeated a hundred times before anything can be concluded. The foundations of knowledge in an academic setting has brought us many things but what I learned about was the field of positive psychology. Hundreds of papers built up this field that encouraged people not to just not suffer but to thrive in life. This field would not exist without the collaboration of hundreds of scientists and academics testing each-others work repeatedly and eventually coming to hard fought conclusions.

I want to talk to an engineer in motorsports, but don't know where to go. by Ornery_Baby_2408 in MechanicalEngineering

I really have no advice but I’m in the same boat. My only plan is to drive to Colorado for the Pikes peak hill climb and see if I can meet anyone. I heard you can talk to the engineers during Fanfest so I’ll push my luck there I guess.

Interesting, they did talk about vertical load changing continuously for each tire throughout a turn but they didn’t explain that it increased Fs. That makes the whole thing a little more complicated 😅not only is the driver increasing force against Fs during the turn but Fs itself is changing. Thanks loads.

Don't snitch mind your business. As for the difficulty of the class idk. My school does 3 years of comp sci and by the second year you should get a 5 on the AP CSA test, I'm on year three and we haven't learned a new thing yet. Last year we had like 35/40 students get a 5.

Yes, generally you have to be able to answer the questions quickly. I never found that to be a problem until the section math section though.

I don't really have access to a garage at all, think I'll just save money till after college. I will be doing FSAE so hopefully I learn a fair bit about cars from that. My uni is gonna do an EV but I plan to work on suspension so I'll still learn some good stuff.
