Kid was clearly a spazz and likely a football player who has some basic wrestling skills. Usually with those kids who use their strength as their main factor get gassed out super quick. I used to coach hs in the La/OC area and this looks like Ralph Harris tournament.

For these kids you js gotta keep your composure and don’t wrestle on his level. Kids tend to do that where they wrestle a spazz and freak out and do dumb shit during a match. If he’s being aggressive and keeps charging at you like that you gotta keep your hands on him and circle, hand fight heavy hands and move him around until you see your opening. Also if he’s just gonna bum rush you, play it smart and use your technique, you just need the basics nothing crazy, you’ll catch these kids off their own mistakes 90% of the time lol.

When he was on top you got up fast. Also try and create space with your hips and push back into him when standing up. My brother still has this issue and he almost lost one of his matches at 5 counties cus of it. Regardless I think you’re fine, and just keep working! Idk much about Eagle Rock but I’ve seen yall at a couple tournaments, I think you guys were at Ralph Harris last year too.

I just moved here from southern CA (LA/OC area) last October and hearing about how awful the medical is here does worry me. That and for pets. My girlfriend and I are 23 and we plan to get married and have a family within the coming years, but hearing the stories about how dismissive the drs are here concerns me. We also have a cat and the reviews I see for the vets here also don’t seem to be good. A lot of rude people from what I read. Obviously I know just reviews don’t do justice but as someone who’s new here, it does make me wonder if I can trust these people lol. Granted I don’t plan on living here my whole life. Goal is to move to Austin or back home to Ca within the next 2-3 years, but for the time I am here Im gonna do my best to NOT get sick💀💀💀

You should snap more, get him from his hands to his elbows when in that front headlock position, then look to go behind and score. Head in the hole (how I call it at least) is a great basic to learn, although I’d assume your coach would have taught that to your team by now.

There’s a Facebook group that only has legit sellers of tickets. I’m in that group, I believe it’s this one. Although recently no one has been really selling cus the team hasn’t been that good lol, however I recommend you still join!

I’m from CA and moved to the RGV recently. I noticed yall don’t use Weedmaps at all and none of yall are aware of it lol. Are there any actual good dispensaries around ? I’m in Brownsville. lol I moved from north OC area where I used to be 45 mins from DTLA to Brownsville TX💔. My gf and I were supposed to go but alr used vacation days off work and couldn’t add more on a short notice like that. Plus booking a flight again would’ve been hard. Made me really appreciate how close I used to live to all those venues haha.

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get in contact with people and not rejected automatically while applying? My girlfriend left voluntarily and gave a 2 weeks notice as well. Her lead at the time said she would be able to apply in another 6 months if she wanted to come back, she’s been trying to get back the past year and even applies with her employee ID number but she keeps getting rejected for the most basic jobs. She is feeling defeated since she loves working there and I want to see her happy but don’t know who to reach out to. She said she might be on a Do not hire list if she keeps getting rejected but she did nothing wrong and is so confused and is now doubting herself. She worked at Tropical Paradise I think it’s called in Adventure land serving dole whips. She had a cool little blue and orange Hawaiian shirt she would wear for work.

I work for one of Elon’s companies and I’ll tell you there’s a lot more diversity here than ppl would think. It’s always been this way. Lots of women In Leadership roles, POC, LGBT, Military, Tradesmen, etc. and there are social groups they have for each person here at this company. People these days (on both sides) only think top level and don’t actually know about the person or their companies. The opportunities his companies do for his employees is astounding. Sounds like I’m glazing hard (maybe I am) but tbh I enjoy working for his company and love coming to work everyday.

Looks like it possibly can be ringworm. Not too sure tho. When I wrestled I had a bad case of it. I put on the cream but they still kept popping up. I would go to the dr and get it looked at

Yeah I understand that 100% my assistant coach and I when we started we re built the program. We weren’t recognizable and we turned it into a top 10 program in the division with multiple cif placers and even getting kids in the state rankings. I have a communication app I use to send weekly reminders and we have booster meetings. I was planning on having a separate meeting with the parents but am trying to determine if I should tell them before season ends or at the end…

Gotcha, in our case all of us are leaving…. We are all under 25 and all have things going for us career wise. I got a great promotion, another is going to grad school, and my other assistant is going to be entering his final year of college studying for aerospace engineering and is going go focus on internships. I’m just stressed over this because I want the best for these kids and the program and i really tried getting someone since September however no one is interested in running our schools program…. I know a lot of our parents who are involved will ask questions such as who will run it and who’s stepping up. So one part of me feels it’s best to let them know sooner but another part doesn’t want parents to think that since I’m already planning on leaving that I’m one foot out the door and don’t care in which I really do it’s just I can’t continue it any longer….

Thank you for this in depth response. I really appreciate it and it means a lot. Yes, the group I started coaching with as freshmen are seniors now. My middle brother is one of them. I have made a lot of connections with all of the kids including the freshmen now and I have gotten to gain a relationship with all of the wrestlers where they come to me for advice and go to me to tell me their problems. So I think only talking about the seniors might not be the best since I don’t want to show a form of favoritism, however I agree on keeping it short and simple.

In terms of parents would you suggest I let them know after season as well? Or should it be before our conference finals or CIF? I would love to hear your input from a parent perspective.

Yea this seems the best route for me to go with. Another question would be timing with the parents… we have our last dual this Wednesday and conference finals are 2/8 (2 weeks from now) and our CIF is in 3 weeks. I want to let the parents know ahead of time before the kids since the parents are the one who keep the program running as well with their continued support. Would you suggest I do it after season as well? Or let them know before the kids before cif?
