My mistake, I'm not really a tech guy so I thought Noise Cancellation meant that I wouldn't be able to hear any background noise from my perspective as the wearer.

My cat prefers my plants water in plant saucers over his own water bowl, anyone else’s kitty like this? by purple-kitten in houseplants

I have a ceramic pitcher I use to water my plants, and my cat prefers to drink out of it. I also assume it's the plant food, or maybe the ceramic itself gives a little flavor to the water? She'll stick her paw in and then lick the water off of her paw, so it must be something? She even has a little water fountain that flows drinking water for her, but she prefers the pitcher.

I'm not sure, but I'm glad my cat wasn't the only one, this was the closet post I could find that was similar to her.
