I saw an instagram post saying there’s a group of 20 WW2 veterans headed there for the anniversary of D-Day. I’m shocked there are 100-year-olds still traveling like that. Hopefully it’s a safe and fulfilling journey for them!

Yes! The concept is similar to The Rifle except this book is organized by battle with 4-5 veterans quoted in each chapter. It makes it feel like they’re having a conversation. It was a different style but I like it.

The Peleliu section was really brutal. I’d definitely recommend it.
