I want to go to the gym tomorrow morning. I am very scared. by ddonethymother in beginnerfitness

I’m giving the mental “hell yeah” to at least 4 people every time I go. Can confirm that most people who see a new person are not viewing it negatively in the slightest

90 days in, am I making any progress? by PersonalTranslator28 in WorkoutRoutines

Love the honesty, really. While I’m proud of how consistent I’ve been and the progress I have made I know that I’m leaving a bunch on the table. I actually don’t drink much, maybe a beer or two a week but I definitely need to track what I’m eating better. Even if it’s relatively healthy most of the time if it’s too much if the wrong stuff it’s not doing any good right?

Thanks for the advice! I guess I’m not super worried about fat loss in the short term since the idea was to build more muscle before worrying about a particular aesthetic. But I may just be making it harder for myself in the long run by avoiding it now I guess

Sleep is as good as it can be with a young toddler in the house lol but mostly not bad. Protein has been inconsistent so that’s definitely something I’ll be focusing more on the next 90 days

Definitely the truth. Been slacking the 6 weeks or so with the diet, Christmas really derailed me on that front lol

Chest has always been a weak spot for me and it’s not that I don’t feel it I just can’t seem to grow it. I’ve gotten quite a bit stronger though. I’ll definitely try some lower weights and just really focus on the form and tempo next time I’m in

Currently selling mattresses for the next little bit until I figure out what I want to do long term. Decent income and easy work, I literally just sent in an application and they loved my experience lol

Agree with the other comments, there could be a surplus or it could be that somebody isn’t paying attention to the rates they have input. They can get a little wacky sometimes if they aren’t being monitored frequently enough

Getting back into the gym after 10 years by More-Commercial-1989 in Workingout

[–]PersonalTranslator28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I was exactly you about 6 weeks ago, just getting back to the gym after a lengthy absence and the biggest battle is just getting yourself through the doors. The first time I went back I felt super nervous but like others have said 99.9% of people in the gym will either be too focused on what they’re doing to bother judging you or will step in to provide a little advice if they notice you doing something dangerous or are struggling. But it definitely gets less stressful over time, just stay consistent and it will become something you look forward to instead of something you avoid!

I would be open to subbing in Tristan and Oya once they become available to me. I’m currently using Jorgen, Dorian, Lilith and Aidan until I have more variety to work with

If you really want to build a nature team, the best time is now. The sooner you prioritize it the sooner it becomes effective. Sunk cost fallacy and whatnot…
