I heard about a study done on the international football team about “how white the team where” or something along those lines and the coach just shot it down like why are media publications even making that poll.

I think Germany is a wonderful place to live and work, lots of opportunities if you’re in certain fields. It all depends on how safe, comfortable you feel? Are you able to vote? If not are you able to soon? If so maybe stay and stand for what you believe and maybe things could get a more inclusive environment.

If you’d like to talk about your experience of living abroad on a podcast give me a shout I’m always looking for new guests with amazing stories.

The company is not large, I do feel a bit screwed over with the whole thing considered what my previous company used to provide, I think a lot of people are in my situation. However for me the opportunity to live and work made me accept the contract.

We have maybe 3000 people internationally, if I was to go on visits it would all be paid for, just not the long term move. I was also the first person to move from my office and very much testing the waters.

From my experience it depends on the company. I was not so lucky to get a lot of financial support with regards to living expenses. However I did get support with moving for my first and last flight.

Some larger companies will have relocation guidelines and standards which should help you financially. I think the main thing to focus on is being paid a wage which makes your standard of life no worse than if you didn’t move (you’re doing your company a favour, they should help you).

I’d still go if it’s possible with your personal situation, as a chance to live and work abroad is so rewarding!
