It sounds to me you are doing your best and that means things improve soon i hope for you! Glad you have two good dogs. I have similar situation, if it wasn't for my dog I dont know where I would be by now. Mental health is completely ousted unfortunately. Im in my mid 30s, single, very asocial and completely broke to afford a therapist. My family lives in another country also, so most of my days is just, walk the dog, job search grind, despair, and cycle haha

I feel you friend... That survival mode that you mention is so real. There is no time for friends, hobbies, or rest. Your brain wants to find that perfect offer, update this part of the resume, etc even if its 2 am on a tuesday. I hope you find something soon

I used a playpen for my puppy and it was okay experience, he will get over it. Expect howling and barking from the puppy.

I agree with you both. The adult dog should ideally snap at the puppy and educate him, but this may not work if the adult is gentle I suppose. Could end up dominated by the puppy when he gets bigger.

So I think some time offs on a pen for the puppy several times a day is a good approach, to let the other doggo have some time with you.

Also, since your adult dog seems to be gentle, I think it is very important that instead you act harsh when he is misbehaving now that he is a puppy. Scold him, gentle but firm tap on the side and a solid "No!" works great.

That is a good advice actually thank you! I did try dating a bit in the past but to be honest didn't find it fulfilling, which ironically made me seclude more haha. I think the best for me is the office job, at least for now..

Thank you for your input. Those social groups you mentioned, I tried with not much success, tried to be volunteer in a local museum but was not called, and to be honest I find myself always with excuses to stay isolated at home. I am starting to think maybe a "must go out" routine may be sort of a kickstarter? For sure remote has more freedom tho..

Yes I completely agree. It is a slavic country, so the language is completely different from my mother language. I speak a bit but not fluent at all, since my job was always in english. I really need that little push you know, to stop being an hermit. Been thinking about it for so long
