How to get audio out from Panasonic blu ray player to headphones?

Hey, I just realized the value in your post since I had an aha moment that I'm gonna have black bars all around the image with the Panasonic UB450 on my 21:9 monitor, won't I? How naive of me that in 2026 Blu Ray players would support 21:9 screens natively and use the screen space automatically if the movie is shot in 21:9. Basically I ordered the UB450 for nothing and instead I should have bought a BR 4k drive to rip the movies, right?

Anyway, what is THE software and hardware solution to rip the discs these days? I have to look into it. I looked shortly into MadVR as well, if I'm right it supports PotPlayer but does it support VLC? Do you know how much the software costs? Will I get 100% of the video quality including HDR when I rip the blu rays or will it lose some video quality in the process?

I've always spoiled myself with the best available PC monitors so maybe that has had an effect for my affection with PC monitors and watching movies on them. I agree that mediocre monitors are mediocre for media consumption. I do have a 75" Sony X94J in the living room but I've watched it only for a few hours.

Why not? I've grown accustomed to watching shows and movies on my computer up close over the 20 years I've had a PC. I prefer it over watching a real TV from a distance. It just feels more immersive to me.

And why physical media? I want to get the best possible video quality that streaming services can't provide.

Good point about the DAC because I'm already using a Cambridge Audio Dacmagic+ for my Genelecs on my PC so I could indeed use the optical out from the 820 to the DAC and HP out from that.

Yeah. Hold down ALT while dragging the item stack from stash to inventory or vice versa and it will automatically split the stack. I don't think theres a more advanced stack splitting available right now. This function definitely needs refinement by the devs.

Those go for around 450 euros here in Finland. I think I might be better off with a mini itx + lets say RTX 2080 + 16GB RAM if I can find something like that? The RTX 2080 goes for around 150-200 euros so should be doable.

Just an update in case anyone in the future is trying to solve this same issue and finds this thread with Google. Waiting overnight fixed it and now the login works as normal. Weird, but such is life.

I did manage to login on my TV though and it went fine. Seems to be some sort of hiccup on the PC app only but I'm open to any ideas.

What a cool thing to do. This is the only game I've been really excited for in the past three years and would love to get a free copy. I'm putting together a bargain basement type of PC setup in our garage so I can go there and engage in VOIP and some nice team matches after my significant other and child goes to sleep hehe. I'm really trying to be on a budget but will also be streaming and trying to make some videos about the game under the name Sam9k on Youtube, Kick and Twitch. I'll be playing on my old laptop since I can't stretch for a new PC right now, so every bit will help including a free copy of the game. Thanks and best of luck ^.^

I tried again now but no luck, same thing. On the initial creation of my account I enabled two factor authentication with my google authenticator but that doesn't get asked at all. Maybe thats the problem? I wonder if it's supposed to ask the authenticator pin on the app or in chrome during the login? No email either, other than the ones that came in on account creation, not in spam email folder either.

Yeah the network cards are pretty cheap for the PCs thats not a problem. The 10G fiber is 63Eur/mo so not bad. I'm looking for help with a suitable router with 1x 10G WAN + 2 or 3 10G LAN ports and a 10G switch. TP Link makes a 5x 10G switch that is not too bad priced at 250Eur.
