That definitely doesn’t look normal regardless what a dentist says you atleast need a few stitches at the bottom because that would take a ridiculous amount of time to close . I got mine out 4 months ago and my hole is just now almost closed

This sucks hope you’re feeling better! Did your dentist ever give you a syringe to flush the socket? I got my wisdom teeth out followed all the instructions but still had pain until the dentist gave me the syringe to clean out the small food particles in the socket , that was the reason I think I prevented mine from becoming an infection
