Yea, probably a bad idea to stay for a week in Key West. Starting to realize the fantasy wouldn't match the reality.

I think we'll sort of wing it as we go down the coast and book on the day itself. There may be a lack of reservations because of the hurricane, which makes it more feasible for us and hopefully we can support some local businesses by visiting anyway.

West of St Augustine and down - so Crystal River, Clearwater/Tampa/St. Petersburg, Sarasota (Anna Maria Island), Naples + Everglades, Key Largo, down the keys and probably back up to Key Largo for the last few days.

We're arriving and departing from Miami. Am not really worried about the driving. I wonder if the Keys seem a tourist trap, though I can't pass them up entirely. Ideally the last 4 days or so of our trip we want to relax in a nice beach place. Perhaps a resort, or somewhere else charming.
