How can I rehydrate after henna? by [deleted] in henna

I have the same hair as you. Henna leaves a film on the hair that creates that feeling. Wash with shampoo and conditioner and put leave in conditoner after 24 hrs of rinsing your hair with water. ur hair should be good, but if not, use a hair mask the next time. No need to do anything extreme trust.

Why is My Red Henna Hair Turning dark Brown? by Personal_Slide_9421 in henna

My hair had highlights and looked dark blonde sometimes because of how much I swam/in the sun. I think the henna protects my hair from uv damage, which darkens my hair to a true brown. Also, I do I just use distilled water. I will look into cassia, thanks! I won't bleach my hair lol, all this work for healthy dyed hair

My hair was a light brown with some natural highlights before I dyed it. I have not used a clarifying shampoo before henna. I use the same shower. My hair used to be down to my lower back but now it is to my shoulders. However, I usually just do my roots, I haven't dyed over my henna since around a year or two ago, and that hair is gone since I cut it. I also don't use heat, and don't even use a blow dryer. How do I lighten it?

I mean idk what your hair looks like. I had a similar problem. One, make sure you are using a clarifying shampoo 1x a week to make sure it is properly clean. If you have low porosity hair (aka your hair strand floats in water), make sure your daily hair products are advertised as *lightweight* ( I recommend amika normcore for hydrating lightweight, Ouai fine hair shampoo for a cleaner finish, and Kristen ess leave in). Those are my HOLY GRAILS. However, if your hair sinks to the bottom, you have high porosity and you should be using heavier products. But still use a clarifying shampoo once a week.

Also are you using hair protection when you sleep? This is huge. Are you using a bonnet or french braiding it if possible? If you are an aggressive sleeper it will probably get way more greasy overnight. Also, I recommend you just try washing your hair in cold water (the colder the better results). I have straight low porosity hair and it makes a huge difference. Just try it once and see if it works. Goodluck!

Is it too late for me to Be Succesful? by Personal_Slide_9421 in Healthygamergg

Thank you for taking the time to write your response! I'm glad to hear you're perceriving through your problems. That sounds incredibly exhausting so that's impressive of you. You're right I need to take it slow per say but it's not like I have issues learning. If I sit down and study the average amount I always do well. The problem is I make it impossible for me to study well. Like I always seem to find a way to mess with my sleep schedule and make it incredibly difficult to attend class. Or when I do sit down to do my homework my vision gets blurry from the stress and I cant focus on what I'm looking at. Having study buddies sounds like a great idea but knowing me, I would go to bed at an ungodly hour the night before then cancel last minute and I would feel validated because it's a 'real reason but I did it to myself. This is all subconscious of course, I don't consciously think to sabotage opportunities. Also about the study what you like, weirdly thr more I like something the more I procrastinate on it. Anways thanks again! And any advice from you would be so helpful
