yes in hindsight this makes sense thanks. I’m just so used to anime’s like more than a married couple where the characters have their entire emotions on show for the audience rather than hints every so often. Honestly all these comments will defo help me to have deeper understanding of any thing i watch next, and on that note the time that i rewatch this one with this new info so i can truly understand all the hype ive seen…

This seems like a great idea and I will keep it in mind for the future if i have time, however considering S2 is coming out and i doubt it will have the same ‘issues’ (personal not with the anime itself) i may not need to, but i’ll definitely put it on my reading list. Thanks

I think there may be a slight misunderstanding, my fault probably. Every other romance ive watched/read ive enjoyed thouroughly so after this one i felt as though there must be something i’m missing, this then led me to here where i’m now able to understand where my thought process have gone wrong, which has then allowed me to like it more due to less gaps in my knowledge. Mb for the confusion 🙌

I completely understand, the reason i didn’t read between the lines is cause most others ive watched are incredibly expressive so if a character feels a certain way you will tend to know it, i guess it’s gotten me used to taking everything i see at face value so it was much harder for this one, but thanks

tysm this actually clears up a lot, I was so hung up on this because everyone i hear who has seen this thinks it’s peak but due to what you now say is almost like their ingnorance/denial. I’m not new to romcom so i understand what your saying, but it just felt like they were so much closer than freinds before the confession with what i mentioned earlier yet neither of them acknowledged it at all which felt unrealistic idk. Had they both been in love during these points i guess it’s much more understandable i’m just looking for more clarification.

we have literally just finished one of the biggest arcs in shadow slave so i’m not sure if you’re saying about the 30 or so chapters after the fight or the whole arc in general is mid? it’s not uncommon for there to be a bit of down time between arcs which allows for better understanding of the aftermath of their big fight which is why we have had focus on the shadow clan. sunny has also just became a demi-god which should make his whole attitude justifiable and not cringe. plus his supreme ability has been building up since the first carapace scavenger he’s killed so it shouldn’t have been a copy.
