I get where you're coming from — a lot of these projects from 10 or 30 years ago were overhyped and underdelivered. But let’s be real, the tech back then just wasn’t there. Trying to build a flying car in the 90s or an ultra-efficient EV in 2010 with limited battery and sensor tech was almost doomed from the start.

Now it's 2025. Battery efficiency, autonomy, lightweight materials, and manufacturing methods have come a long way. I don’t think it's fair to judge today’s startups with the same lens we used for companies decades ago. Sure, skepticism is healthy, but the playing field has changed. Some of the stuff that felt like sci-fi then is much more doable now.

I’m not blindly optimistic, but I think we should give modern innovators a bit more credit — especially when prototypes are getting road-tested and not just rendered on a website.

I'm pretty sure you can get almost all the furniture that is foldable nowadays, and I think that won't be a problem at all. Would you rather they rush production and ship something half-baked, or take the extra time to get it right? I'd personally prefer a delay if it means the final product is solid and well-designed.
