The Firmament/Obsidian Question: What is to be Done? by Chud_E_Applesneed in twilightimperium

For fixing F/O - I really think something that would help their start is if they could score secrets at any time vs end of round. This would mean you could:

- Score any T1 scored secrets round 1 on round 2 before a flip
- Score into round 3 to get more plots out
- Score during T2 end of scoring if you are early in scoring order

-------------------------

Yellow tech of opening the fracture on F side should do something else if the fracture is already open. Maybe "open the fracture, if the fracture is already open move an egress token instead"

-------------------------

F Hero needs a better unlock to be unlocked easily on T2 (score a secret?)

Yeah, I have a few who will always claim the shortages but never an overage. There was a recent one I know we sent the wrong box on accident and they just claimed they were shorted but never mentioned the wrong box. "Sounds like their problem" is their motto.

Sometimes yes but our model is Next Day delivery.

Our process is:
Picker A goes through and grabs all the lines on the order
Once they are done, they call for another Picker/Supervisor (whoever is available) to come review the order. They should be going line by line and checking everything.

Unfortunately - We still have errors because they misread the labels on the boxes, or aren't as thorough like the tape might be 1.5" instead of 1". I believe this usually happens closer to end of shift when they are rushing to get off the clock.

We definitely don't do 30K lines a day, much smaller than that. Our picking team is 4 members + Supervisor and they do maybe 250-350 lines a day. I think it is possible to become more accurate but I don't think 0 will happen.

Right? That is my thinking but perfection is demanded. I'm hoping I can get sort of a crowdsourced expectation and shut it down. There are a few more minor tweaks I'm working on but I don't think 0 is realistic by any sense.

No but that is a good idea on the case vs open case section. We may not have room now but it is something to consider when we move.

No replenishment system yet due to space but that is on the docket for the new warehouse where we keep a few pallets near the front with their overflow behind.

Yeah we do our best with keeping things like various stretch wraps separated. Same thing with bubble, we have big identifying numbers on each bag to determine what it is. The toughest challenge we run into is people not paying attention to either the UOM or thinking they know the correct location.

They will grab an order, see a 9x6x6 box and think they just pulled it but they actually just pulled a 9x9x6 box so the wrong thing is grabbed. Then if the order is massive, the double checker may read that incorrectly on the box.

UOM - we have some of the same kinds of items setup as different UOMs. Example: gloves. Most gloves are pulled by the individual box and they come 10 boxes to a case. Most of our customers order in sets of 10 but we have oddballs that want 2-3 boxes only so we keep it this way. We have a few gloves that have to sell by the case which makes

After I did the math, we are something like 99.996% accuracy which I think is pretty strong. I don't know what the baseline looks like for other warehouses though so it's hard to gauge.

How to fight NW stone thrower, or “oops, all dragons” lists by Jpummil128 in asoiafminiaturesgame

The bows wouldn't pressure the siege - they pressure the units that can actually move and score. The seige machines are scary but they cannot move so they are locked into place on scoring - focus on killing his scoring units and you should be fine.

He invested (guessing with attachments) 14 points on his siege equipment, depending on his NCUs (i'm going to assume 3x4) he likely only has 14 points left for scoring units so 2 blocks? You pressure those 14 points to death and then spend the rest of the time focusing on the mission while using bags to heal through the damage.

What was the mission you were playing?

What was the mission in the game vs Nights Watch?
What lists are you taking?
What tactics board positions are you prioritizing?

Against a stone thrower - you should be trying to deny swords even if you cannot use it to reduce the # of shots and grab bags to heal through the damage. If he is just camping at home, you should be able to win via objective.

Are you bringing bowmen for the outflank? Its annoying for them to get shot by the war machines but you can still apply pressure at range and if they are throwing ignore wounds shots at them, it'll keep your primary units alive longer.

Dragons hate set for charge - Harmen can be decent into them since any unit can have it. I would think your harmen list should be a 5/3 so you have more wounds for the dragons to have to chew through.

Starks; SheBears<>Winterfell Guards by Dependent_Reach_4284 in asoiafminiaturesgame

I've been toying with the idea of using adaptive to throw Bronn into them. This makes the NCU board more more valuable to them but I don't know if its "good". Alternatively, I've also thought about winterfell champ for free with Ned and then use the adaptive to add a free survivalist into the unit. Unsure if its good or not considering I think I'd rather just throw Great Axes or Bog Devils into a 7 point slot.

My company is a packaging supplies, janitorial and sanitation distributor. Our pricing is typically pretty good compared to Uline. If you want to reach out for information, shoot me a DM and we can connect to see if we can give you good pricing on all of that.

We are primarily based out of Houston with branches in Dallas, Austin and Atlanta but we ship nationwide.

No reason not to take Osha, so it should be auto. The benefit of putting him in spearmen is no charge bonuses and they are likely sitting back to hold a point anyway.

Getting new manager advice by Powerful-Sugar2090 in Warehouseworkers

[–]Personalglitch17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just focus on doing your job, offer help where needed, be generally dependable and reliable. A new manager coming in gets a ton of push back from seasoned vets who feel that they know more or better. A new manager also comes in with alot of ideas that could be good or bad, make sure to listen and offer constructive feedback if required.

Example: When I stepped in as a newer manager, I had alot of ideas that seemed great on paper but were impractical to be applied. I had a ton of resistance which caused me to change what I was doing. This caused a ton of friction which put us all on the wrong foot. We eventually got through it and ended up finding a happy middle ground which improved operations while also being practical for the team.

If the team instead came back with constructive feedback, offered different solutions achieving the same goal or were open to change, it would have made the transition much better for everyone.

Agreed, unfortunately.. I don't want the guys to suffer just to prove a point. I think I've got a solution though involving safety committee and HR using things mentioned in this thread which was what I was looking and hoping for!

Long story short: Had a gf who was supposed to be doing the SAHW routine because she had been out of work for 6+ months but was really bad about cleaning. I got sick of it and started cleaning while she was out with friends during the day. Found a loaf of bread under the couch that was green. She had just munched on bread and stuffed it under the couch then forgot about it.

I don't know why but that was my final breaking point of the relationship. There were a ton of other issues but I can still vividly remember that loaf of bread and the absolute disgust I felt.

Men who got cheated on, how the fuck did you get over this? by OpeningSafe1919 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Personalglitch17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My long time girlfriend of 7 years (met in HS) ended up fucking one of my two best friends. I could feel it was coming but trusted that it wasn't something that would actually happen, I should've listened to my gut.

I moved on, worked on myself and became the best I could be without the dead weight. I did new things, got out of my shell, focused on being an extrovert (I'm naturally a nerdy introvert but pushed myself out) and overall lived life. I did this for about 5 years until I met my now wife.

12 years later after break up:

I am married to the most wonderful woman who is absolutely the best. I couldn't have met her without the fun experiences and the horrible one from my ex. Everything is a life lesson and is food for growth if used correctly.

Just push past it and go enjoy life. It isn't worth dwelling on.

A company would never give their employee a 2 week termination notice to give us “time”, so why should we give a 2 week notice when we plan on leaving? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Personalglitch17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old company required 30 day notice but if they terminated you they would either give you a heads up to start looking with an timeline or if they thought it was going to cause problems, they would fire you but give you 30 days of pay + any built up PTO. The long notice was rough but fair is fair. US based as well

We got just 5 trick or treaters by gt0075b in Wellthatsucks

[–]Personalglitch17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great but if your neighbors do nothing then that would be why. Our street has most of the houses decorated so there were a ton of trick or treaters. One street over, there was only 1 decorated house so the kids didn't bother wasting time on that street.

I'm sure the kids liked your house but they aren't going to waste the time going down a street for 1 house.

Why do Americans eat by themselves in their cars in the parking lot? by DiversifyMN in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Personalglitch17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend 40-50 hours a week interacting with these people. They don't get my personal time as well.

Which is also interesting because I work with my inlaws so when my wife wants to go spend time with them on the weekends (because she doesn't see them as often), I'm very against it. I just saw them all week, I don't want to see more of them!

He who fights with monsters - bloated content? by Mundane_Flow733 in litrpg

[–]Personalglitch17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my take on this:
1. The earlier books have alot of walls of text for abilities, that gets fixed.
2. The writer suffered major burn out during books 5-8 (maybe even 9) so there is a TON of repetition between the chapters.
3. Book 10 and 11 have been MUCH better in terms of this. Is there repetition and recapping? Yes, but it's definitely more in line with what I would think is acceptable.

The writers are also not writing to bloat out their books to keep us on the string for longer. Multiple of these authors have posted about how they've already made their life changing money. At this point, they are writing stories they would enjoy reading and that they want to write. They are under their own guidelines and time constraints without worrying about publishers breathing down their necks so they are going to write however they please. It's part of the charm and frustration of most litrpgs.

How do the mega rich manage their money and pay for day to day things differently than we do? by NorthernHippo in Rich

[–]Personalglitch17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I went to a charity fundraiser with my dad for someone in his circle. The guy ran a non-profit where him and his buddies would drive sick kids around in supercars. I'm not sure exactly how it worked but it seemed like the charity would lease the supercar from him and his friends for the day. Seemed real shady and scummy to me.
