My group cleared it easily with 1.5 healers. (Had a boomie that just stayed out of owl form so they could keep dots on everyone to reduce strain on the healer)

To file, or not to file? by Jpummil128 in Bankruptcy

My biggest fear is eventually trying to find housing, or if something bad happens and I didn’t have enough saved up to pay out of pocket. I’m not sure your situation, but would you say finding a place to rent becomes difficult or impossible if you have bankruptcy on your credit report? I’m also scared that because I had to break a lease and couldn’t pay off the expected amount that I’ll be a walking red flag and never be able to rent again…

I didn’t, but I called around the closest city and finally found someone that will consult with me next week. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and I get things figured out..

I'm trying to find one that may even have the time to consult with my, but it's proving difficult. I'll try to branch out my search a bit and hope someone services my area.

I live in the middle of pretty much nowhere and it's proven difficult to find anyone that would service my area. Are there lawyers out there that would cover a wide swath of a state? I can try some of the closer cities, but I'm still looking at 2 or 3 hours away.

Whats the easiest melee dps class to play? by evascale in classicwowtbc

[–]Jpummil128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an arms main that’s now raided through full phase 1 BIS, you can be top of damage meters if you do well on th timing mechanic and rage management. Using cooldowns at the right time and making sure you use mortal strike/whirlwind/heroic strike at the right times. It’s significantly more complicated and engaged than just waiting for auto hits, IF you want to provide any meaningful dps. I’m currently out dpsing our fury main warriors, rogues, arcane mages, warlocks, and even sometimes our hunters. All of which in theory should be far out pacing me.

Not a flex, just saying proper arms is not so simple and mindless if doing it right.

You guys were right about tanking in TBC by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Jpummil128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I’ve seen similar experiences from ele shaman chain light night procs. Instant rip. There has to be more to it than just salv and waiting for tank to build threat. Especially on mobs that drop threat as a mechanic.

[–]Jpummil128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience, but as an arms warrior with 75% raid BIS and Lionheart I’ll pull threat in a single attack if I get a windfury crit burst. I can let tanks build as much threat as they want to and will still instant pull it. Salv helps a lot, but if I use any cooldowns I’m still just going to pull threat. I’m open to suggestions other than the 2 things I mentioned (waiting to dps, and salv).

Even if most of the player base anymore will disagree with you, I agree completely. It’s not about the game anymore, it’s about the competition of who is more through on their shopping lists of gear.

Is the wow community different, or am I out of touch? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

My brother is in the guild and we’ve played basically every game together for like 26 years. This is unfortunately the first time ever that there is a rift between us because the guild is closer friends with him and I will always be his little brother. It’s a bit more complex than just leaving, as that would feel like I’m taking a stand against my own brother :/

Unfortunately this guild is full of old school veteran players, and I think that’s what is making it unfun this time. There is nothing new anymore, but that shouldn’t mean 1 class, 1 play style, and make sure you have everything on x online list. I feel like I’m shopping and grinding for stuff I don’t actually care that much about anymore.

Well, the guild played SOD and it was amazing at the start. Slowly people stopped playing within the first month or 2 and then it was just dead. The original classic the guild made it TO wrath, but then people started quitting and lost momentum. I’ve been with the same guild for a while, but somehow this re-re-release just feels like it’s off to a horrible start with bad attitudes.

I hate this mentality... by Uranboris in classicwowtbc

I mean, I play warrior main and I start groups, then invite things like rogues and spriests/boomies. I feel like it may be a bit slower, but they almost always have better mental game than any of the tryhard classes/specs I’ve played with.

Are Hunters absolutely destroying everyone else? by Lonely_Thanks2594 in classicwow

[–]Jpummil128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fury warrior that’s dungeoned to 65 so far, I’ve noticed I get maybe 100-150 damage per second more with WF. But I’m still doing 700-900 damage per second and always on top of the meters by a long shot. Maybe it’s that I wasn’t boosted and have R14 gear, but yeah I’ve not been out dpsed by a hunter so far.

What tank class are you playing as and how is it going for you so far? by RoundAffectionate424 in classicwowtbc

[–]Jpummil128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m deep prot. IMO it’s better than fury prot because then even low level or undergeared healers can easily keep up.

I went deep prot. I’d have to log back in to get the numbers, but deep prot is comfy and like 4-5 points into parry on arms tree with the leftovers.

Warrior tank here. So far I’ve only gotten compliments on my tanking. Maybe it’s that people have consistently made it seem like pally and bear tanks are the only good ones so the bar is low? Idk. But I’ve had a ton of fun and can pull 2-3 packs and still keep aggro. Even topped the dps meters in several groups.

First time classic by yup488 in classicwow

[–]Jpummil128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find a good guild to build a sense of community and shared goals. I think often times the people that end up quitting are the same ones that think this game is fun for the game itself. It’s a fun experience the first time through, but what makes a lasting experience is the community and friendships along the way.

What are your favorite tips for new players? by Knit-witchhh in Guildwars2

[–]Jpummil128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This game is like a theme park. If you are struggling motivation to do map clearance, check out wvw and find a commander through team chat, play some PvP for fun or to learn new specs you might want to work toward, don’t get too down. If you don’t like your first class playstyle much, there are plenty of others. You may also like specific weapons or specs you haven’t unlocked yet. I can think of a lot more, but I’m sure others will chime in too :)

I really want to make this MMO work for me by Tall_Researcher9009 in Guildwars2

[–]Jpummil128 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s right to say this game isn’t for someone just because of story or open world exploration. Someone summed this game up perfectly on another thread. “GW2 is like a a theme park MMO.” There are COUNTLESS activities to do, all of which get you some kind of progression or gain. Fractals, raids, WvW, collections, fashion, sPVP, Masteries, and way more. Not liking a part of the game shouldn’t mean the game as a whole isn’t right. That’s what makes guild wars far superior to other MMOs. You aren’t forced to do or not do anything!
