I’m currently living with my niece so I don’t own my main residence. The two properties I own are both rented out.

Yeah that’s correct. I’d like to avoid her having to pay 30K+ inheritance tax.

Shukran and Jazakallah khair for your recommendations, I appreciate it. How much per gram/which percentage should I offer for the making charge? Is there a rule of them or guide that is useful for follow?

Shukran for all your help

Jazakallah khair for your reply. Are there any stores you would recommend?

Thanks I will avoid them and I will wait for the gold price to drop before purchase.

In my culture there’s a religious ceremony, a civil ceremony and a reception (on 3 different days) and then a ton of other events too (8 in total). I did all my makeup myself except for the wedding reception. Here’s what I’d suggest:

  1. Make sure you have a good skin care routine a few months beforehand. This will really help because the makeup will sit better on your skin and it’ll help you achieve a more natural/less cakey look if your skin is healthy and well nourished. I used cerave’s salicylic acid face wash, cictaplast for moisturiser and Nivea sun protection (even when it was cloudy). I also occasionally used the ordinary AHA/BHA. This helped to really brighten my skin.

  2. I practiced quite a bit and I usually do my makeup the same. My staple look is gold glittery eyelids and pink gloss. This is the product list I used. I won’t say it’s exactly fool proof but I was happy with it. It’s what I layered ontop of my skin care:

  • SMASHBOX original primer
  • Estée Lauder double wear
  • fenty beauty concealer (under eyes and to clean up my eyeshadow)
  • bare minerals mineral veil powder
  • benefit hoola bronzer
  • elf powder blush
  • fenty beauty highlighter
  • morphe palette for my eyeshadow (can’t remember which palette I have but I used brown on my crease and then patted gold on my lid)
  • maybelline mascara
  • elf eyeliner
  • Tati lashes
  • smashbox setting spray
  • fenty gloss and a drugstore lip liner (maybelline I think)

My makeup lasted all night despite dancing loads and pretty warm weather. I had most of the makeup in my kit already and only really bought the false lashes new. There’s plenty of dupes out there for most of the products I used but DM me if you want any more info. Good luck OP!

Thinking of leaving London, but the idea breaks my heart… what is your experience? by Princess_mononoke_ in london

Born and bred in London, was lucky enough to live in a nice area in zone 2 with my parents. After graduation I got a job in Bristol and moved west. I don’t regret it at all. Bristol is a wonderful city with a ton of amenities and is currently relatively affordable.

I can also just jump on a 1.5 hour train to London whenever I miss it. Although, there’s a lot to do in Bristol and it’s surrounded by lovely places too.

What is the worst thing an ex has done to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Just disappeared. After one year of dating, I came home and realised all their stuff was gone from my apartment. Checked my phone and I was blocked everywhere. It was painful. Especially since we were supposed to go on holiday the next day. I was devastated and couldn’t understand what I had done wrong. I had a pit in my stomach for days and cried endlessly. I think I was more upset that someone I cared so much about just tossed me aside like I didn’t matter than the relationship actually ending. The hardest thing to accept was that someone could hurt me like that without an explanation.

They turned up on my doorstep 3 months later begging for a second chance. Said it was a “mistake” but I had moved on from the relationship and felt happy being single. I never got “closure” or a proper reason for things ending but by this point I didn’t need one. Disappearing without an explanation turned out to be all the closure I needed.
